PC does the crossbow reload speed up if I put points into Archer?

I thoroughly enjoy the crossbow with a scope. the reload time is only a problem when you're in a constrained area with lots of zombies.

if I pump a few points into Archer, will it get better? Has anybody tried this?

 
Personally, I don't think I've noticed any discenerbale difference after I've put points into archery. Maybe, like a minuscule improvement, but its always felt slow regardless of the points put in.

It definitely gets better with points in archery, it's just a small increment with each level. Once you are level 5 it's not too bad. Also points in run and gunner are useful for crossbows as your movement speed doesn't slow down as much when reloading.

In A18 this should be less of an issue as you'll be able to switch weapons when reloading.
