No console left behind...Ahh the good old times back when we had a slider for the spawn rate. Now we have crossplay and it won´t come back probably. Thanks to Xbox Series S.

But still extra danger wouldn't hurt ans I agree 100%Not so much focused on the number of Zeds in the wild, I would like to see at least 1 Zed introduced that's utterly fearsome.
Right now I can't really say I'm too terrified when facing off against any of the Zeds in game. Once I get a decent Sniper Rifle and SMG, I routinely take out Dire Wolves and radiated Wights.
Would love to Face a Zed that strikes fear in your heart even in late game. One where once you hear the unique sound they make you start planning your exit from the area. Or maybe one so fast it could easily catch you on a bicyclebut your only chance of escape is having a motorcycle 🏍.

Na they can throw that thing into the trash. Always keeping us behind from greatnessNo console left behind...
Weren't you planning on getting a PC fairly soon? You'll be able to add that to your game then. Having options for it would still be good for console, though.I need this in my life

I'm not a fan of the current architect zombies that have a complex understanding of building stability
The only real way to fix this would be to have one pathing AI for POI spawns and one for Biome spawns. Dumb zombies in POIs were a hot mess when quests were first introduced. The problem is that the overhead from having two different pathing AIs could cause its own performance problems.I feel like we could have a lot more zombies active if the AI was dumbed down sufficiently, to well, act like zombies. I'm not a fan of the current architect zombies that have a complex understanding of building stability, I think that could provide a little too much overhead for a CPU.
I'd be curious to see how much that would make a difference on game performance. The only question is if someone has made a mod for it yet.
Adding that setting would lead to tons of griping about performance. Everything is a trade off and there are no free lunches. You can have lots of dumb zombies but they will never be able to properly path to you. Clearing POIs with dumb zombies is not fun. And in my opinion Horde nights with dumb zombies was boring but I recognize that opinions vary here. If you get a PC you might enjoy playing through all of the Alphas to see how much the game has changed. If you were console only you would have largely missed out on the changes from A16 through A20.Soon yeah just a few more pay days
But yeah it would be good for console sense not everyone can get a pc. Plus imo I shouldn't have to dig in the files in order to do a setting the devs should have added.
My issue with that in general Z game terms, is that is more like Resident Evil than Romero Zs.
With dumb down zombies is all about sheer numbers. You may not necessarily be afraid of a few, but you would think twice, trice about entering a city.
Alas, the boat has sailed. Although there is one mod out there is great for Zs roaming zombies. I would like a mod that removes the "special" Zs.
Ya, me either, so i reduce block damage to minimums.
I think a mix of dumb zombies and smart zombies could be a thing. You have like shamber male, female, fat male and female and they look like a generic walking corpes.Adding that setting would lead to tons of griping about performance. I think the vultures have captured that honor. Am thinking of making a mod that reduces their speed to pre-2.0 levels and causes them to attack only when you've hit a reasonable amount health lost, maybe 25%. Right now, they're just aggravating, imo, attacking constantly when you've lost only a few points of health and, now, able to literally sit atop your head when on a bicycle. Vultures circle life forms that are close to death. You lose a just a few health points -- nothing to make you reach for a bandage, certainly -- and can't go anywhere without being hassled to death until you're at 100%. Overexposed is the word I'd choose for that "enemy" type.maybe one so fast it could easily catch you on a bicycle
There are a few, I did it my way for a few reasons, I first made it 8 years ago, when I had a gtx 660. But I wanted increasedI'd be curious to see how much that would make a difference on game performance. The only question is if someone has made a mod for it yet.
This! Though I must admit, I have yet to face any charged or infernal Zeds yet. Anyone feel any real sense of terror dealing with these new enemy types? I just want that one enemy that when I hear the sound I'm like, oh ■■■■....Speaking of Wights, though, I'd nominate them for the honor. You should be terrified to see a Wight running at you, but...you're not.
