PC Do torches produce HEAT as of A16.4?

You can check the torch and candle entries in blocks.xml yourself: my recollection is they have heat values in the latest build.

Thats what I had done and posted on steam but he wouldn't listen because he wanted someone to record a video and prove it to him lol.

 
I've been wondering if somethings changed lately. Ever since they introduced the Screamers chasing heat sources I've been digging 5x5 pits a short distance out from my main structure, I fill them 2 deep with torches then cover them over with concrete and spikes. I started a new map with 16.4 and I don't think I've seen a single screamer so far, they're usually pretty constant.
