A shining dog is good. I've made one myself using a MOD.
A bear would be good as a higher-ranking animal, but dogs can easily get into tight spaces, so it's good for a different play experience.

Also give them a chance to be like a cop and explode but without vomit, so you don´t know if it will explode or not.
