I’m aware the team needs funding, I think 10$ for some in game armor skins is not the best way to go. I would love to pay 10$ for a New map, or even more money for more creative content, such as- Maybe a whole overhaul map Ghoul themed or alien themed with new weapons and armors. I’d love to see a map that re skins all zombies as different versions of aliens, 20$ alien invasion skin map pack or something like that, with a new map included fitting the theme. Or a ghoul theme with the enemies being re skinned as werewolves, witches, mummies, goblins with a map accompanying it. I know a lot of people would buy something like this rather than a 10$ armor skin that doesn’t do anything for the game.

I paid for the skins because I think they look cool and because I wanted to support TFP. I don't ever recall the team ever releasing DLC content for this game (I could be mistaken) and it's been out for over ten years so I really don't mind the price.

I don't buy purely cosmetic DLC. I don't see any reason to do so. If it adds content, then that is different. It doesn't mean I will buy it, but I would at least consider it. I agree that the price for the cosmetic DLC is easy too high, though. It works for people who want to support the devs after buying the game years ago for under $10 and feeling like they got a lot of value for the small cost. But for anyone else, it is just too much.
