PC Dig Deep Achievement

I don't care too much about achievements or virtual trophies myself. 

However this is interesting as I just received this achievement the other day. However not for digging to bedrock as intended to achieve. 

I was simply in trader Bob's compound (in the desert now of course) as he was closing. I was in his inventory as it warped me out of his compound, however it warped me on top of those containers that are stacked next to his building. Then the game realized I was still in the compound and warped me again, this time outside the walls. 

However when this happened, I was awarded the "Dig Deep" achievement.

You need a "WTF?" Achievement for something like that.

 
This happened to me but I was in a trader compound when I closed the game and when I loaded the game again it warped me out and gave me the achievement, even though the trader was still open. Lol

I wonder if the game can warp you to bedrock, then realize it's mistake and pop you onto the surface.

This game would have quite a few ways to get that trophy, lol.

Wow that's crazy. Maybe that is what happens. 

Anyway just wanted to pass the word so anyone who didn't have this achievement yet, this is an easy way to get it. 

 
Pretty sure i got this achievement when the character "fell though the world", i have not mined down to bedrock, but glitched while on a minibike and slowly started sinking into the road, like quicksand or something. When i got off the bike i just fell into the map and then through it. 
Felt like the teleport out of a trader as i was warped back beside the bike some distance back before i began sinking. 
assume i must have fell past bedrock so i got the achievement, but might be the warping effect messes with your coordinates, to figure out a "safe" place to put you, could be why you got the achievement after getting "unstuck" from being in the trader after closing

Got it! I was able to reproduce this by teleporting during testing in Navezgane. We have a JIRA ticket now in our system for a fix. Thanks for mentioning this, @Outlaw_187
