PC Did the new stealth nerf cause this?

Last night I explored a small town in my RWG. It was one of those desert towns that has Gas barrels on every porch. As I was collecting a barrel, I heard the noise of zombies aggroing inside. So far so normal. However what was not normal, is that they then aggroed from almost every single house in the town. One after the other they bust out until the main street looked like Mardi Gras - never seen that before. And of course one after the other I lined them up and killed them.

Surely this is a bug? Or at least not intended? About 40 easy kills and a town left with no zombies in it making looting completely uneventful. All those lovely POIs they designed....wasted....

Thats actually pretty cool and sorta convenient if it isn't night and there are no dogs, so much free exp walking right up too you.

Most POI's with a ladder or make you jump on a dumpster etc will make the zombies open shortcuts or even the loot room for you..

The developers must have spend so much time making these, and then they put an update like that in.. it only made poi's easier.. and harder to find the created path.. if i wanted to open the lootroom or do shortcuts, i would open them myself.. as for zombies waking up, i can easily shoot em down with a shotgun or kit em outside..

IDK where the developers are getting their data for rebalancing etc.. but the game isnt improving lately and there still hasnt been an update that improves the feeling of progression.

IDK about you, but if even the smalles jump or noise will wake them now, i'll save quite a few

shotgun shells. (I used that to wake them up and come out in the open)

Not sure I understand the reasoning behind the change other than to try and make the perk more valuable. Except all of Stealth was pretty well balanced and working well (no complaints it was overpowered or not working). Now it feels broken. I've yet to try perking it up to see. Just based on some quick getting noticed very often making slight noises now.

If they wanted to make the perk more pertinent then they should have done as madmole once said would be possible and make it help for those who wanted to stealth their way through Blood Moon Horde night. This would have added value to the perk without messing with what felt balanced in my opinion.

Note: whole post is just my guesses, assumptions, and opinions. We all know what can be said about those things. :)

Seed and location?

Something like this would have to be reproduceable and since zombies in sleeper volumes you haven’t entered yet can only be awakened by taking damage I’m sure faatal would be interested in seeing if it could be reproduced.

Yeah, the perk may be more useful now at the beginning, but the benefit of adding it when using armor is essentially gone. Before if you wanted to try being stealthy in armor, you wanted to buy into the perk. Now you need it for basic stealth and it doesn't do enough to be worth investing once you get armor, so not worth investing at all because to survive you are going to eventually want armor.

Again just my opinion.
