Any statistic that lists "zombies" should be read with a bucket of salt.
Zombies are taking our post apocalyptic jobs and ruining the country! I think I read that in the Navezgane Tribune last week.

Are the Following things getting looked at in A17, i havn't seen anything yet, but then again, this thread is 500+ pages long.....

-Smell

-Zombie pathing (bread crumb system??)

-Stealth

-zombie awareness (i.e. how well they agrro to light, sound, sight, smell)

sorry if this is reduntant =( i REALLY hope at least some of these items get fixed. I will say the list of new stuff and changes are awesome, but i think it will fall short w/o these core mechanic fixes/adjustments. Love the game, you guys are doing a phenomenal jobs. A lot of AAA companies could learn a thing or 2 from you guys!!!

All of these are planned to be fixed/ improved. Until it is reported that they actually have been, though, they will not show up in the fixed/ changed list.

<the usual>
Read the first post in this thread, it has all the official news. Official news are only generated by madmole when the features or improvements are presentable and already working well enough to be definitely included in A17.

Since your features are neither listed as IN or OUT, it most likely means someone is working on them.

Good, I remember when i first played (Alpha 9?) whenever I shot a gun it would alert every zombie in the area and suddenly i would have a small horde. Or if i opened a loud creaky door it would alert some zombies around (same with cutting down a tree). Either these things don't happen anymore or they sometimes work, sometimes don't (and if they do its a little effy, some zombies might be alerted to the sound of my gun but others will simply ignore. Breaks immersion, especially if a sleeper is still down after i shot his buddy next to him multiple times). Miss that

feel free to correct the wiki then..lol im an aussie and dont know the various sublelties of your military. i just want my .243 back...lol loved that rifle at the range.....
The wiki is correct, but the wiki doesn't state that the all M16's are automatic or that the military uses the automatic variant as you did.

- - - Updated - - -

The M4 is capable of firing in semi-automatic and three-round burst modes (like the M16A2 and M16A4), while the M4A1 is capable of firing in semi-auto and fully automatic modes (like the M16A1 and M16A3).
I was trying to keep it short. Yes the M4 has the same modes as the M16A2 and A4. I've used all 3 in my time in the US Marines along with the AR-15's that I'ved owned. My point was that the US military uses semi-auto rifles in the vast majority of its deployments.

Could smell awake sleepers , just a random question ? Not meaning that if you walk in a town and they activate , but when in a building maybe radiated or ferals could awake ..well faster.

Suggestion... don't eat pinto beans before your POI raids.

you're not wrong, but mods ive seen so far just reuse models with tweaked settings and it just breaks my immersion. I am sure in the future that will change
Thats because the game lacks offical mod support. As in something like the bethesda games where any external file overrides the file in the games archives that has the same name. Want a better texture on something? put it in the data folder following the same file directory path and name and it'll be used over the one in the base game automatically. This is what 7dtd needs, the sad thing? I dunno if unity can even do it. Currently to mod textures or models etc, you need to decompress the games archives, put in/replace the new/old stuff then recompress it back up. I know you can inject like icons and such via the mod folder, but doesn't seem to work for textures or models.

The mods we have now are pretty basic, if they had access to it like the bethesda games, we could have some pretty impressive mods. I mean some of the ones we have now are really good, but if the game had proper mod support they could be even better. Not to mention the graphical improvements modders could do if it was easier to implement them.

I don't know if unity just can't handle that kind of modding support, or if the devs of 7dtd just don't seem to want to or aren't able to put it in.
