I prefer making my suspended fort from polls. So I'm all for polls! :)
As a 480 SMG is almost as good as a 600 SMG, I don't see the point.

I've always said: Guns done kill people... its the bullets!

Now, quality bullets I can get behind:

Hydrostatic shock bullets for the unarmored living and "semi-living"

AP rounds for the armored guys.
Sadly there is no decent Armorsystem for Zombies

All i can offer you is a decent staged weaponry

Blunderbuss, Revolver (wild west alike), Rifle (wild west alike) and their ammo buildable

Modern ammo not buildable weapons rare as i Vanilla

And very very expensive Weapons with mostly bigger magazines and in case of the shotgun extrem expensive elektro, incendiary and explosive ammo. Trader only

And i Balanced the Quality level new (Only the primary value of a item (Tool=Block, Weapon =entity))

Once NPC's with firearms are in the game, all armor currently in the game should be useless against them.

So bullet "proof" vests, double wrapped and the amazing Dragon Armor vests should be the stuff of A17 with the old stuff used when your pretty sure you will not be attacked by the local bandits (protection money).

Depends, i know both statements

One said that decent Steel Armor can Protect against Pistol Ammonition, a other say it can not.

7.62 goes through a Steel helmet like butter (on low distance), this i know from own experience

Maybe all the usable modern weapons are in vaults, collected long ago by all the gangs and bandits. The ONLY way to get one is ether join ether the good gang or one of the bad gangs OR kill one of its members (Suicide?)

If the game was in Texas it would be good gangs and the mass graves sites of the bad ones. :)

What kinds of loot will the NPCs drop? Hopefully better than the current day 7 horde loot. They should drop quests like bring a bandit's head to the Duke himself.

In real there should be so many Weapons that they nearly have no Value. But ammonition would be different.

That's true in America. With Ammo, making even the primer could be done with dozens of different shock sensitive chemicals, so maybe max science and a Chem station is the minimum to make Ammunition?

Even in germany with our strict Laws

11 Million Fireweapons @ 80 million population.

If 99% die everybody could have 10 Guns/Rifles from zivil property, plus the Weapons from the country.

There would be the ultimate part 2 of 7 days to Die: You can travel the world with only a few dozen maps made like Navezgane (New York, Berlin, ect) The rest can be "Semi-random" using the average land height, land height change and water density as a type of seed. Looking for clues to the location of the New World Order before they can finish all their plans! :)

Is it me or the water just look like total crap? I mean it's like it looks good only on the chunk that i'm in and it looks just blue on the other chunks making it terrible

Just took a look at the new Vid, and the additions look great, however there is a thought that keeps itching on the inside on my skull..

Many of the updates dont really add to the gameplay. The animations wont add anything to singleplayer if 3rd person controller isnt active.

The bike is nice, but only modifies the look (and maybe speed) of the mini bike.

The new POIs are nice, but really only change IF you play them how they are designed.

I realise that these are steps towards gameplay features, but I cant help feeling that they are eyecandy detracting from gameplay features.

Bandits - AI - Factions - Quests - Endgame challenges - More varied POIs - Weapon additions - variations of zombies etc.

Not trying to be a downer, just an observation. Keep up the great work.

Because they haven't really worked much on the water yet. It will come just hasn't happened yet.

Forum feels like

these days
It is a gameplay time Royal, I feel your boredom. Feels like I am sitting near the train throwin pebbles around and looking around nervously in the 40 degree heat. (tumbleweed)

Secondly, searching book shelves should find something. Why are most of them empty? This seems to hold true even in the late stages. Did people suddenly decide to go on a reading competition during the war? Even more scraps of paper would be preferable to finding nothing. But OFC finding books is always best.
All of the loot finding is an approximation. Naturally you find stuff in every box and book shelf, but it is useless. In one shelf you find a childrens book or a history book with paper so rainsoaked you can't even get usable paper out of it. In a box you might find special computer cables and a motherboard, old run down batteries and a plastic helicopter. Instead of representing stuff as junk you can't even sell the game shortcuts that and you see empty boxes and shelves.

Many of the updates dont really add to the gameplay.
There are 3 reasons for this (IMHO):

1) Eye candy is stuff you easily can show in a video instead of lets say the cool improvements in database handling

2) Madmole's speciality is the eye candy stuff so he will show more of that stuff instead of cool database handling stuff

3) Eye candy like new textures or a redesign of one house is a relatively small and contained change. More complex changes take longer and since changes are only revealed when they are definitely in the game they will be announced and shown later in the development cycle.

In violation of the rule mentioned in 3 it was already revealed that guns will probably change from "made out of parts" to "upgradable with mods". This will be an important change in gameplay.

Even when/if not in 3rd person, having the other players/NPC's movements look better will....um look better :D

Which doesn't help single player until Bandits/NPCs work. I guess Im suggesting that the development hours would be better developing those and THEN fixing the Mechanim animations attached to them.

I dunno, Getting the MoCap working seems like a foundation block to me.

They can build a lot on top of that.

I do want to see NPC's and Colonies though. I think the longevity of this game is going to depend on it.

That's just one person's opinion though. I'm no expert in these things.

I think it looks too clean for a post-apocalyptic world. It needs more muck and murkiness to it. As a matter of fact, it looks tropical with how blue it is.
