Its allready to heavy

1,4 Kg Thats so heavy as a Heavy Katana (No Pic)



1,5 Kg Butcher Axe

1,3 Kg One and a half hander

1,1 Kg Spartan Sword

0.9 Kg Axe

But such a Tai Chi sword weights only 0.8 Kg

Means without armor the heavyer swords are Deathtraps.

If you want to imagine this, move a 0.75 Liter Bottle for a Minute and then a 1.5 Liter Bottle.

(To simulate a Katana or the Ichigo swort hold the bottle at the end Heavy point away from hand, to simulate a One and a half hander grip the Bottle in the middle (The grip is very heavy), much easyer to handle)

I`ve tried some sort of katana ( I can`t tell its genuine , I live in EU ) but it was made by some 70 y/o japanese dude. He said "It`s all about ballance". Beautiful weapons you showed here ! Good reference too :)

 
Katana is a nice weapon but to Glorified by TV.

Its good against Bambus and Leather Armor.

Comparable to Sables.

But its Heavy (so, bad against other swordfighters)

and its bad to Repair because of its Complex Structure

Awesome to hear about the expansion of the team. I do hope it works out well for you guys, and that everyone will keep working on your standard ;)

IMO I think this is what MM did out of boredom while the programmers were all bug searching.

 
I hope this entire alpha 17 goes towards zombie AI and pathing. right now they are to stupid and easy to kill.

just get rid of the drop key "Q"......reset it to run...saves on the pinky....but yes an autorun button has been requested for....well ...years

Been using Q for run almost as long as I have been playing. I also have been playing so long that my muscle memory for typing has been affected. I am sure my typing speed/accuaracy has dropped by at least 25%.

 
Madmole....will the Behemoth be added to A17....if it is I was wondering if you will make it have an actual POI for its lair...obviously it is later stage of the game zombie, but how exactly will it be implemented in game? can you give us your ideas?

I made this basic prefab... thinking the idea of an actual lair/cave for the behemoth would be a good idea, because it is such a different Zombie than all the others. It should be its own POI instead of just wandering. IMO

Zombies aren't know for their intelligence.
What zombies? establishing the fact that they aren't real, so therefore there is non a 10/10 example, there are a lot of kinds of zombies in movies/games (There is not a Universal kind of zombie anymore), for example "Zombies World War Z" they run, In this game they also run (Normally they don't) and they are scary like sh^^ cause they easily overrun anything with speed and numbers, In Killing Floor 2 They aren't smart, not that fast neither but they are as hell as agile, and lots of them have a role they perfectly fit, that's a sweet model to copy from (I loved if the zombies from this game where as dynamic and fluid like those), In left 4 dead 2 they are stu*** as hell, but, they can surely find their path to the player (Thats something that usually doesn't happen here) Here what you usually see is: They get stucked at doors (Even when they destroy the door), they run away from stairs, ladders, they continue to hit walls even when they already breach and can go get you,etc, the IA is clunky beyond "not very smart zombies".

There is also not really a big variety of Z in this current state of game, there are different models but they mostly occupied the same role, except for 2 or 3 you can count with one's hand fingers like the cop, the spider, screamer,etc.

So resuming, I totally agree with DrunkWolf on this, I hope they focus 100% on zombie behavior, zombie role, zombie movements, zombie path finding, (Memory leaks so they can add more zombies to wandering, spawning and blood moon) etc.

Because at the end, lets be honest 90% of us is here for the Zeds, not for the construction stuff,Its a nice complement but, lets be honest, we are here for the Zombies.

Do sudden 150+ block drops in terrain still occur? Or is that fixed now.
Hehe yeah.. I had to start behaving myself. My wife ordered me :o

I haven't seen these major drops myself lately.

Hm, I bet I am not only one who think this number is much different. Crafting and building are as important to me as defending/fighting against zeds.

It is visible that zombie behaviour is wrecked, hope that they will upgrade it.

 
Zombies and building aspects are both important for me, and the way they look and are implemented. Its what makes 7DTD so original and addictive. They compliment each other perfectly.

 
Alpha 17

Hey TFP,

Great to hear about the new recruits..

Would it be possible to have the Auto Turrets gain the same sound as the SMG ? (they are noisy as hell on horde nights) the only difference i can see is no stock on the Auto Turret and they both use a Suppressed barrel. Also could we please have the ability to have a series of battery banks connected to one another ? say you have two battery banks and a generator connected either have a combined battery bank power of 600W "Like one Generator" or have Battery bank #1 power and charge Battery bank #2 ? thus gaining 600w over time or the ability to attach two battery banks to one power relay..

A few of us on our server were also wondering if its possible to add a new block for electricity much like the Relay but a

"Power Block" that you can insert into your wall to make much neater wiring ? (just a thought)

and the possibility of a expandable generator tank ?

also thoughts on a Steel Garage door ? and auto rotation for them ? to make a giant Hatch for a base entrance
