Just a random addition to the thread. :)

Was harvesting surface rocks the other day and as I was on the downswing I was attacked by a vulture, took out the vulture and smashed the rock on the one swing! That just might be the most awesome thing ever!... well cool at the very least ;)

I killed a fly with a hammer as a kid. On a wooden bench.
There are weapons of choice ingame, that are suitable for different creatures, nice try with the machette tho, I will give it a few shots against these flying things :D
I remember when you could get mad skill levels from chopping trees with a HAMMER.

Thems was the days.

Well in that case, bring some bandages and some honey. :)

So does AP Ammo work better on Zombies or just more for PVP against players with Armor?
Also what is the deal with the Rad remover mod? does it work?
I love the rad remover and it appears to work well. I add it to my shotgun then when I run into any irradiated zombies they seem to be easier to kill. The theory behind it is prevents or slows down their ability to regen health.

I'm just guessing but I'd bet their hit 'box' is more plate shaped; so head-on pretty darn small but if you can get underneath, quite a bit bigger. At least it seems that way since I've managed to shoot them out of the sky w a bow quite often, but learned to never try to arrow them when they're in their attack run and coming in nose first.
Really? That's the best way to shoot them IMO. Coming in nose first lies them up, you can't miss. Well you can but still...

Jesus lol. I just noticed this thread almost has 10 million views and almost 50k replies. Damn.
We must find the inventor of F5`s key funcion and give him a merch T-shirts and life time of beer of his choice. Or just a nod.

Does "The Hunter" Mod (Increases damage to living beings) work on zombies? it raises the ranged damage of the weapon by a lot but not sure if that helps on zombies.

I mentioned this in another post. DXVK is a set of open source DLLs that translate DX11 calls to Vulkan. These DLLs were designed for wine, but work perfectly on Windows.

If you are having performance issues, go grab DXVK at https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk/releases (0.96). Place the DLLs in the game folder that contains the exe. It may still run slow at first, but play the game for a while. Once the shaders get cached, it will fly. I'm getting anywhere from 49-150 fps with all details on max with no stutter.

Oh and FYI, on Linux, the game actually runs faster than windows using DXVK. Steam Play using the Windows version of the game on Linux also offers a pleasant gameplay experience.

Glue recipe in A17:

Seems like the chemistry station version of the glue recipe should more efficient then the campfire version. I.E., used to be campfire took 2 bones.

Am I missing something?

(Increases damage to living beings)
living beings
I don't know much, but I know this much: zombies are, by definition, not living beings and if 7D2D thinks otherwise I SHALL HAVE TO ASK IT TO STEP OUTSIDE!

Probably you did miss the patch notes, yes. I agree with you though - the old setup was better. Campfire should be inefficient compared to a chem station.

On a similar note, IMO snowballs are OP. One trip to the snow is a lifetime supply of water. Should be at least 20 snowballs per bottle, and perhaps only 10 when using a chem station. Even better, require 1 coal for filtration.

Hush You!!

Don't mess with my snowballs! (They are op and I love em that way!)
