Another thing I noticed, I had a Zugehi territory (I think that's how it's spelled lol) Which is somewhere around 8156x8156 size, then I was curious at how the 16000x16000 (I think)so I clicked the "BitGenerateWorld" And my computer almost literally crapped a brick, I had to hard shutdown my computer R.I.P. So if it's that so taxing why is it there? I have a pretty beefy computer, in fact I recently got this computer.

Really? Rwg borked to hell, maps over 8k cause issues, skyscrapers aren't even in rwg unless you mod for them and it lags like your playing on a winxp machine. Zombies ai and damage is all over the map.. like let's dig 20 blocks away from a player because that's where the dirt is. Not to mention eac is horribly bad atm and only fix is to turn it off and hope some script kiddie doesnt ruin everyone's fun.
But it doesnt crash every 5 mins, so i guess it's not to broken...
Play Navez...... It's worth a fresh look now in A17.

On very Early Game Stamina I'm w Erik on having better places to put points.(I'm reading it as he's mainly talking about traveling)

The Rule 1 Cardio -only- comes into effect -while- Sprinting. And I could barely tell I had it at Lvl-1.

If it worked as the original description, ~'both while sprinting & standing still' then absolutely a buy.

The new Game Options on z's walk/job/run/insane have me wondering if possibly a Player Jog might be possible. Could be a nice fit for early game travel before you get a bike/minibike.
Good Idea. Say they added Player Jog as a perk. Would you compelled to buy it? How would you implement it? Would it cost stamina? Isn't that what shift currently does now? Or are we talking walk costs stamin, sprint cost a LOT of stamina but jog is stamina free?

@faatal
remember the PoI with old spikes I mentioned a few days ago? I stumbled upon him today and recorded the zombie pathing.

I found that POI and it is not actually the spikes, but the door trim above the spikes, which I think is causing it to not be able to jump vs the other door, where it could jump on the spikes. It needs more research to find a fix.

Hi all, I recently got this beta and firstly lemme just say I was suprised at how different it was but I love it! Now, there is a few things I have noticed one probably being a bug and the other just something that annoys me...1.Some items are missing: textures, names, and/or descriptions, or maybe that's intentional for some reason...idk really
To clarify, this is not a beta. It is the experimental version of the next alpha version.

So.. any word on when we might see the next update? Its been more than a week with no indication at all... please keep us in the loop.
Test build b214 was made today. It depends on how testing goes. Could be tomorrow or Monday.

I'd use average speed across distance X of a perfectly executed, run until S at 50%, walk just until S is 99%, repeat over X.

Then set Jog speed to ~90% of above & add in that your first 50% of Stamina is used up but then holds steady.

I would guess that speed wouldn't allow just running away from default running z's; add in an 'Enemy Near' = 'no Jogging' if needed.

Basically what it would do is eliminate the walk, run, walk, run, aggravation.

If a Perk I'd get it pretty early, but the w/r/w/r drives me nuts :)

Edit: in my mind this would basically be an Airborne Shuffle. Not much better than an ~11 min mile, but something you can maintain for long periods.

Stamina is one of the things that really should be "learning by doing", otherwise there's no real point to walking when vehicles are available at very low level.

I'd go so far as to say the base stats such as strength, perception and fortitude should all be "learning by doing" even if the perks must still be bought with points.

got to get my brothers specs but in A16 he played on med to higher settings with some things turned up turned up with 60+ FPS. now on max settings he gets 11FPS and on ultra low 17. The smallest FPS difference between options I ever seen, also on high settings his game still looks like ultra low. Any ideas?

PLEASE... I dont want him not playing with me together anymore. He is about to quit playing.View attachment 26090

In case this helps;

Posted this in the bug thread but thought not everyone reads that and I could help some people. Have a PNY 1060ti card, updated to driver version 416.94 and frames went to hell, 25 MAX at lowest setting. Downgraded back to 399.24, back to 60 fps at high settings. Some of the low FPS could be the NVidia driver.Worked for me.

Another thing that's been mentioned before is turn the resolution down a step or two. Can make a big difference for now during experimental, until TFP get a chance to optimize it more.

Thanks for the update! I figure if you are quiet here, you are probably working your tail off.

Question: Does your new AI anti overlap code give us less of the conga line effect? (Just curious someone mentioned it.)

Also is it intended behaviour for wandering hordes to still spawn in if you are in a quest poi?

We had one come in on us when we were 3/4 through getting to the tougher zeds.

There were many deaths that day by ferals, irradiated, screamers, and spitting cops.

I know you got them to add the running options.... can you get a setting in for the mp gamestage multiplier? Sp feels fair at least up to day 24, but with 4 players the combined gamestage us just throwing way too many later gamestage zeds at us.

An observation... I had the minibike for only 2 days on day 24, and unlocked the motorcycle.

I think the bike needs to come around day 8, the minibike around day 21, and the motorcycle around day 34 to give the lower tier vehicles enough time to be worthwhile rewards and shine. Instead of unlocking them with perks, make unlocking them rewards after horde nights.

When you die instead of the current comment, maybe switch that up acknowledging the death with sarcastic replies like, "Well, let's try that again, shall we?", "Well, that didn't look like much fun! ", or "Man you have them a tasty meal!" I'm sure you guys could think of a ton of funny after death comments!

I've found a simple non base horde night survival tactic, and can send it in a PM if you want to try to nerf it. ;)

AFAIK you don't need to free a slot, just use any axe or melee weapon. Mmmh, I should try if shooting also works, would be interesting to harvest a field with a shotgun
You can use melee or axe, but it reduce the durability of it, and hence it is not always worth it,

They have given enough time for it, The decision here is how soon you can make them, Most Streamer and in my game play, I was not able to craft bicycle until (when it was level 30 open) we reach level 34-35, same happen with my minibike, I was able to make it by level 42, and since Hog need steel, and it is not yet available to my player to make steel, so I am guessing it take 2-3 level up for me to make it when I open it.

Also, hog use lot more fuel, so for short distance it might not be good idea to use it, and you might want to use minibike at that time, so having one vehicle doesn't mean you abandon other. Like when I die I use my bicycle to reach my backpack .. so I keep them both. And so far wheels are not that easy to gather due to acid, so at one time I was in argument if I make Minibike or use my cycle and wait for motorcylce. .. it is all relative to your game play style.

accidentally drove by a quest I needed to do. and now the quest says clear the area 0,0 but i dont remember where that is. I tried removequest but nothing works. How am I supposed to know where this was at?

Resolution has the biggest impact so far:

On UHD my GTX1080 makes only 10-25 fps, on Full HD it rises to 50+ (beside some drops in POIs).

Still not a real good performance, but optimization will come (hope so)

Are all the "Devs broke their promises" people ready to pounce on Saturday and then again on Tuesday...?
