It did that in A16. I don't remember if it was because of the light being on when somebody logged out or if it was just from being near one another? Thinking it was logging in and out that fixed it but I do remember it happening and correcting it.
Orginal post edited for clarification.

We tried having people relog and restarting the server and that didn't fix it.

Yep, that's the best biome to be in. :)

Just remember to adapt to the heat and learn the way of the plants growing there.

What do you guys think about adding an option to pick up building material if a landclaim block is nearby, similar to how you can pick up workbenches and forges. It's pretty aggravating when building with iron bars or whatever, and you place it wrong, and then need to pickaxe it.

Similarly, when repairing/upgrading stuff, it would be nice to have a menu for what material to use to upgrade. It's annoying to have to remove forged steel from my inventory when repairing concrete or else risk accidentally upgrading to reinforced steel block.

ummmm, I just hit "screechy metal noise, no more digging" at +3 m underground. It doesn't fully look like bedrock. Glitch maybe? I started at +45m. Have they changed the depth or should I be reporting it?

I MEAN i was at 1+ but this can be wrong, bedrock was allways 3-4m thick.

Welcome to A17. Bedrock is now at +3. Dig some more and it will look more familiar.

btw. Stamina is now far better, BUT i have one small question for 2 small changes

can we

* Set the Coffee buff duration from 2 Minutes to 5 Minutes

* Double the amount of coffee the vending machines offer ?

I have 7 Traders arround me and Visit 2 or 5 (dependent where i am) on a daily basis.

I modded the duration to 8 Minutes and i am still too short on coffee.

Pls count in that the time you need to buy the coffee adds to the balance too.

(a own coffe production i was not even near on, lvl 60 and still only 4 Coffee beans. Means coffee is nice for the startgame to get your char playable, but (new game) 7 days and i used allready 30+ Coffee drinks. And that with a 8 minute Buff) (btw arround 15 Tradervisits)

Cant even imagine to play with only one trader nearby

Love this Alpha.

One thing I would highly consider increasing is the XP gained from quests. Right now 1000 XP for completing them is so minimal imo for the amount of time it take. Two zombie kills is 150% that... maybe make it like 2500-3000? at least

Okay, new question....what player level do I need to be to raise my intellect above level 3? I'm level 14 overall, but I still can't raise intellect higher than 3, and I need to so I can unlock forging and decent bandages...

Mouse over the lock icon and the tool tip will tell you what skill level you need to be.

How do I backup my save? I don't know what should I copy.
Game saves are here, if you're on Windows:

C:\Users\<your Windows user>\AppData\Roaming\7DaysToDie\Saves

You can just copy them to wherever you like.

I don't know where they are on Linux or OS X though, sorry if you use one of those OSs.
For Linux it's ~/.local/share/7DaysToDie/Saves/ (~ is your home folder i.e. /home/<user name>)

Navesgane, nomad difficulty, SP

Day 6, was doing pretty good with only one death this save so far. Even found a sniper rifle and feeling pretty good......Then came across a small town in the burnt biome. Saw this new POI and thought, alright, another one of those new POI dungeons. Was going pretty good until I fell through the floor into a group of 4 to 5 solider zombies. After a frantic chase in a circle around the room, I some how survived.

After looting the nice loot in that room, I decide to hole up there for the night since it was close to 22:00. FATAL MISTAKE. I hear the pitter patter of little feet outside and within seconds I hear the sound of breaking wood and then finally a stream of zombies drop into the basement. I fire off a few rifle rounds and down the first couple then came the realization I was not going to make it out alive.

So I pull out a molotov and go out in a blaze of glory. Death #2. Well played TFPs.....welll played. :)

Change Request

@Faatal

I have two small request

1. When a player rejoins the server can they please auto regroup to the party.

2. Give us a option for default control of vehicles. I for one don't like the mouse steering.

or if you know where tell me and I will make the changes my self.

What's the point in looting now? There is no point in doing the dungeon POIs because I can get the same loot from a small house with a safe. I am hoping there can be a way to mod the parts system from A16 into A17, because right now there's not much reason to loot any of the big places.
