So, anyone experiencing game crash right before you enter ingame in Randomgen ? I got it everytime.
I don't have downright crashes, but the game is often not responding anymore when loading up a game or creating a random world. Didn't happen with the 2 previous builds.

 
Did that so many times. And will do it again. And I geniunely like many of new things A17 bringed. I just don't understand many of changes that wasn't nesseccary as for me. Why change food/water and wellness so much? Why take out learn by doing? Why watering down farming? Why changind temp management to that casual filth? Dam, why even change stamina usage on hits?! It was perfectly sane to hit weaker when you was approaching minimum. Now it's standart "collect X from minimum and hit, hold to repeat". Why? For what?
Because they were noring the learn ny doing you liked i for example hated and was ♥♥♥♥ed up like athletics and armor perks and weapon perks they were just bad took a lot of time , time that you cand now spend somewhere else same for farming and most things you listed

 
Textures technically shouldn't cause fps loss. They go into vram and don't really stress out the core speed at all. It's usually geometry/mesh or background calculations with regards graphic fx and such.
Not sure what comes into play more so with block physics possibly CPU maybe as when I am close to collapsing structures the fps tank hard !

I think the GPU is being better utilised now in this build as I see maximum core usage usually everywhere I turn.

But even with a i7 4.50mhz and a 1080ti breaching over 2025mhz the game options have to be brought down hobbling graphically what otherwise is a beautiful looking game but one I can't have maxed out as it goes into the obscene 20fps region !!!! at certain points even now.
what disc yuou have? i have i5 with 1080 and 500g ssd. rarely drops below 60, most times above 120fps

 
I am. I was doing this small house. Had to drop through the floor to get to lower levels. Was attacked by 2 soilers, like 2 or 3 regular zombies and a cop. All in an enclosed basement. The area I dropped had stuff down to prevent need polling. I pulled out my shotty and went to work. It's the most challenge I have ever faced in this game. Survived with 8 hps. The loot was spectacular.
The loot in the easier buildings has not even come close to the loot I got here.
I have noticed buildings/POIs with bikers/cops tend to have better loot but you need to find those iron chest and crates hidden on the roof or in corners in the basement.

 
Ok, feedback on the latest exp...

Zombies are too easy on nomad now.. I think we need a balance between the last exp and this one. without Bow mods and with the compound bow I'm one shotting base sleepers with iron arrows.

Loot is possibly too good now. I have all the parts for a minibike and a spare battery and engine on day 7 with 2 garage lootings. (LOVE the new garage poi, BTW.)

Performance has dropped... the game no longer plays as smooth as the last exp, particularly worse in the burning biome. (Fog issue?)

Lastly, since we spawn somewhere in the middle of the map, with 30 days in 199 and now 7 in the latest, I've never even seen the desert biome or the snow biomes. It might be more "realistic" to have them at the poles, but without any significant incentive to need to visit them, we won't even see them till day 35 or more, which makes them a waste.

I think I prefer having them scattered about for more diverse gameplay. If there are new pois specific to the snow or desert biomes, they are lost on us with the current rgw settings. And if they are not high level difficulties, we'll breeze through them once we do come across them.

If a poi can have terrain generation seeds, a ski lodge might be a great addition, and add the indian burial ground excavation, gift shop and water treatment plant from navezgame in the desert biome!

Well as far as i know the snow and dessert biomes were made so you would really need to prepeare beforehand so imagine if they were scatered everywhere it would not be great , you trying to get to one place early when you have no chlotes and having one of them in the way

it needs some sort of indicator that you are close or entering like in RUST - you get some sort of Geiger counter

Been playing Navezgane for my second playthrough on A17 - I just finished day 42 horde. Gotta say, after latest patch - there hasn't been enough zombies throughout the world and pois to offer a challenge. I went to Gravestowne and literally never saw a single zombie in the biome- Went into the apartment building and saw maybe 4 or 5 sleepers in the entire building - It was just a cakewalk.

The biome part can be fixed (at least in Navezgane) easily. I would suggest you do the spawning like you did in A9-A11 for that area. The wasteland should be constantly dangerous. You should never be able to 'clear' it for a few days like a forest. This simulates the reality that there's millions of zombies there. It makes the game SOOOO much more fun.

I changed it to be like that again and it was instantly more challenging and fun. Playing it like this makes me not even long to go back and play A9 anymore for that wasteland challenge. You're no longer able to just go into the city and just grab everything. Getting into the city itself is more of a challenge like it used to be. Getting through a wasteland city should be end-game level hard (imo). You gotta give harder goals for us players. Put some exclusive loot items that can only be found there. Make it more challenging there and give it a bigger purpose.

Loved what you guys did with the Shotgun factory btw - I played it before the latest patch and it had lots of zeds in it and took a couple days to get through -- very fun. :)

I tried to imagine the round table with beer and pizza but my FOV is forced to 65 so I can't fully see it. :)

So uh, has there been any round table discussion about bringing back the FOV setting for A17 stable?

We are on Day 6 and haven't gotten jack squat for loot, so just because you are getting good loot does not mean that everyone is.

No beer and pizza??? Well no wonder it's taking so long. ;) Just kidding, if they had that, they wouldn't get anything done. Well not game wise anyways lol.

"jack squat" ... he was removed from the loot table :) couldnt pass that one up :)

question i HAVE to ask... new map, loot spawn set at default, type of game sp/mp and many people?

i too am getting way too much at default setting but that would/should be okay for several people in game at same time.
