We had our meeting. Updated the weekend notes. Made more changes. b205 is building and will be tested once done.
Then depending on the testing and what other changes get made, there could be one more build. In either case, hopefully there will be a build out tonight.

Any chance you can let us know what kind of changes you have decided to work on besides bugfixes?

 
7 Days To Die PS4

What about ps4 i love the game but with bluescreens happening after loading an old save and in new saves it makes it impossible to wanna keep playing we spent money to play the game so we should at least hopefully expect the same love as the PC players its a very good game that has potential and in my opinion it could be great even if you dislike the console versions at least finish what you started please :)

All I really care about is optimisation. Tbh the game runs like ♥♥♥♥. The concept is great and I will keep enduring the lag spikes and low fps.

But please optimize your game. Also nice when your at a high level and your still able to play the game

I honestly don't have much issues for fps, and I don't have a top notch computer by any means. And not to mention they are optimizing some now and while the program new things. But it will take some time until they have everything in that they want.

 
Made it thru night 14 but doesn't really count. Had the rad-vulture issue right near 22:00 and took me a couple tries to edit the xml correctly. (game wouldn't run when I removed them so wound up replacing everything under "animalZombieVultureRadiated" with the non-radiated props) Once running again I tried the Molotovs, oopsies, 'Flame On!', heh. Got the next one off ok, then 3rd one -wasn't- the charm, no, not at all! Since I'd now made a dancing a$$ of myself (I swear I heard a zombie laughing...), and was out of water, I decided it'd be better to stop doing that. So Marksman & Bow it was. Only had 50 rifle rounds, but thank jebus I did; 1st Cop was up on bluff and his puke took off part of the porch. 2nd Cop took out some more, then 3rd Cop shows up w his Soldier buddy.

Anyway; think maybe pathing got a bit goofed due to multiple Starts. The z's cleared out almost all of the west side spikes, and they didn't need to. So while there was a spike clear path to the walls pretty early on, some just kept on blazing their own trails. In the end they only destroyed 3 poles total with another dozen or so at less than half. 3 or 4 were about a hit away from going.

They did take out a bunch of both Iron & Wood Spikes though. Of the two rings of Iron they took out ~40% of outer but almost all of the inner ring. The Iron Spikes are quite a bit tougher than the wood ones, maybe 3 or 4x?

Takeaway: I _think_ this could have worked. The extra 'skirt' I put around the supports might have confused the z's, or the restarts. Definately gave them something more to chew on instead of the primary supports. The Iron Spikes really helped a lot.

Not sure I'll try this route again though. The grind for materials really wore on me, heh.

Suggestion: A17 doesnt have a different color biome when you start walking off the edge of the map. You just are walking on your happy little way and suddenly you start taking dmg with no indication why or what. Most of the time you will die before you figure out whats going on.

Can you please change the color of the space outside of where you want us to be so its clear where the line is (the grass used to be tinted slightly different in a16)? This has really frustrated me with a17, especially with how small the map is and char spawning right near the edge of the map. It limits the space around me that i can explore and i can work with that if i know where the line is.

 
Can we please bring back the weapon and tool crafting system from A16? I don't see why we can't have that system and mods? Surely when you assemble a gun the mods would just go back into your inventory like ammo?

This system is very unsatisfying and kills a big reason to loot. There is no point in doing the big dangerous POIs because you know you can get an arsenal of weapons from the nearest gun safe, that or you can craft them.

Also, the spare parts system is actually more realistic when you think about it. This game takes place how many years after the war and outbreak? There must have been panic and looting. Makes sense we are only getting the scraps.

In this system you know what you are going to get. At least with A16 you felt like you are progressing as you work hard to make your gun better. It also meant that you had to scavenge to make sure you had parts to repair your gun. Now it's just too easy.

 
I am only one who find CPU usage in main menu really high? This is how my CPU graph looks like. I even tried turn off SMT/hyperthreting just to see if it isn't using whole core.

Just asking, i see there a lot "low ingame fps" posts but none of main menu cpu usage.
I used to have amazing performance in a16. Running 4k. Now with A17 my frames are dropping to around single digits. I find that it happens mostly in 2 specific scenarios:

1. Torch light and other dynamic lights but torches really start to do a number at night in a house.

2. Walking into a house (even during the day), i am finding my frames drop significantly as soon as i enter a house. Outside in all biomes is fine and walking through cities is fine. Walk into a house and my frame rate drops massively.

I dont know if its my cpu or video card but never had a problem running this game on max in a16. Its a fairly dated rig (i7-3930k) that is OC'd and i have a gtx 1080 so really it shouldnt be too much trouble. Im playing bf5 in 4k for example and maintaining 20fps.

Ill throw up my pmon the next time i play and see if i notice any spikes.

 
My analysis of this b199 is that it is very good, rougher, more difficult, I am playing it on a random map, I go on day 6 and I am level 37, I do not die yet, but you pink death on 3. occasions with a herd of dogs, so far 10/10 I just want to increase the quality of the rewards of the trader's missions, but I do not know how, I have the game for the most part in English, I just try to guess what each skill point does, for the people who said it is very difficult, as you see is in nomad, and is acceptable

A-16 V's A-17 stats

I like the stats in A-16 better because you could get all the information at a glance. Were as in A-17 you have to hunt for info like how cold or hot you are. A-16 was faster and you knew how bad it was getting at a glance and with that you knew how long you could stay out before it became a real problem.

Get one of the huds. They show that quite easily.

Has anyone reported that you don't get exp from upgrading blocks anymore? Wood frames you get exp for the first level ... but nothing for anything above that ... and nothing for upgrading rebar to concrete. It's very frustrating.
