Before I post it in the bug thread, has anyone died with the mining helmet turned on, and had the effect remain after respawn even though the helmet got dropped in the bag? It was horde night and when I spawned on my bed I had the effect still on. I couldn't turn it off by pressing 'F' (makes sense since I actually didn't have it on). Once I grabbed my gear and put the helmet back on, I could again toggle on and off.

Edit: It's worth noting that when I my gear up, the mining helmet didn't auto return to my head when I picked it up. Almost like there was something already in its place, when there wasn't

So, this happened to me on Day 14. Had to alt+f4 to get out of the game. Esc wouldn't work, so couldn't even just normal close. Once I got back in, it never happened again, was able to finish out the night. Now on Day 21, it happened again. Though this time, every time I restart, it gives me that error within a minute. About to have to start a new save sadly :( . Anyone know why it's happening and only during Blood Moon? I don't even know how to describe it or what to say about it to even post it in the bug thread. All it says is

ArgumentNullException: Argument cannot be null,

Parameter name: source

And it just keeps going on and on, only alt+f4 gets me out of the game.

 
Idk, I like it, I know everyone has their own opinions about it. I love it because every time I level, I can't decide what I want to do, so makes me have to plan. The old "use" based system I no longer like (I was skeptic from it changing to perks though at first). I didn't want to sit there and repeatedly do something to lvl it. I like that I can get xp other ways and still inc it. Also hated the fact of the cloth/armor skill was always broken for me in the sense that you don't want to be hit, but to lvl it, you had to be attacked, made no sense. I do wish mods were somewhat easier to get, because I'm day 21 in, and have yet to find any mods that I can use, even everything that's dropped is for stuff I don't have. And yeah, I'm 2 in Yeah Science. So all my stuff is all quality of 4, but still doing the same damage (weapon wise) as I was day 1 with quality 1 stuff. I almost don't see it being worth worrying about how many mod slots for that fact, that by the time I get anything I can use, I'll probably have quality 6 items and still have no mods.
I'm looking forward to things being added in throughout experimental, loving the game though.
but in the old system you could invest you skills in your proficiency all the same, I didn't care fore it too much as it amounted to "I just got a level I can either learn learn sexual tyrannosaur or use those points in construction tools that I'm going to get in a few salvage trips" also gaining skill in something you practice makes alot of sense thou they could have added other means to skill up armor like sprinting or prolonged usage of it. but ditching all of that for for a one choice per level and having to invest in attributes as well seems overly tedious work early game to get your player to a place where he can have a few perks that help him survive but that survivability is going to cost you proficiency in harvesting resources that you also need to survive.

unacceptable

bloodmoon zombies should 100% drop loot

Im not asking for something that equals what I lost during the fight but something at least.

if you dont give us a reward for the fight then im just going to disable the horde and be done with it.

all risk with no reward = dont bother

 
its known, related to the vultures. faatal said it was fixed for next build
well damn... being that they're going to be normal for BM hordes from 21 on, no wonder I can't go more than a minute with spawns... ugh, time to start over till at least day 21 again, heh. Maybe make super long days that way I can at least try out all the stuff for now.

The reward is that you're not dead.

It has been mentioned that maybe at the end of BM hordes there will be a boss type zombie that would drop insanely good loot. Stuff to make it worth surviving. BUT, that's a maybe.

 
Does anyone know if it's intended (or a bug) for Zombies Never Run to also apply to 7th nights now?
In previous alphas, zombies always ran on the blood moon horde regardless of your choice, but now it's respecting that setting. I don't remember seeing anything about whether it was an intentional change or not.
The setting always worked on the 7 Day horde for us in previous alpha builds.

Yeah, but I hated spending points in skills that could be used to lvl up when other passive skills were better. Just didn't like it, lol. Made no sense since it was a "use" based system.

 
I have yet to find loot on any zombies which makes fighting them impractical as they tear apart my base but dissapear shortly after killing them they don't even decompose likes the old system when you need to get rid of them or they would turn into gore piles that would attract more.

or they could just add in another airdrop that lands on your current position at the end of the night as a way of saying "good job"

since they are having trouble with boss types, this could solve that problem and its already codded in the game

 
I think it would be better if the proficiency skills were kept around and maybe fed into the attributes like building built strength wearing armor maybe built up fortitude using a gun precision and so on, maybe replace some of the weapon proficiency perks or if you don't want to go around working up those skills have the ability to to invest perks in the attributes.

If something like that, I could be okay with it. Int from crafting, Agi as you run/swim, Str from mining, For from melee combat, Pre from ranged combat. I'm sure someone will do that, increase those values, make them use based, and be like 1 for each lvl instead of the 10 a lvl.

I drop the resolution from 1920 to 1360x720. All the lowest settings. and im averaging about 20fps. if I move one inch Im dropping below 10.

Am I missing something?

no other game seems to be having an issue. I know its alpha but I shouldnt be having an issue.

That would be a way to do it. Make it a "Blood Moon" airdrop that has different and better things than normal airdrop. Have the quality, type, amount of stuff based on gamestage, number of zombies killed, and number of deaths.

did you do a complete uninstall? all 3 folders deleted just in case?

7dtd folder in steam, 7dtd folder in users/appdata/local or local low, and the funpimpsfolder in roaming.

I have not. but will do so now. Would this actually make a difference?

sometimes junk gets left behind and interferes, has happened to me in the past.

also, back about a dozen pages someone said the recent nvidia driver needed to be rolled back and that cleared it for them.

I cant get the dropdown for the beta alpha 17 on steam now >.>
