Yeah, I am asking if after official release of the game will they still be available.

Since there's still only talk of future alphas, who knows? This game may never actually have an official release.

Yes, all versions of 7 Days to Die is actually available back to Alpha 8 i think.

 


Sigh, I am not talking about now. I am asking someone from TFP if they plan on keeping those older versions once the game goes live. Not Alpha 17, but final release.

personally I always play without a clean install, unless I have errors, then result to a clean install, that way i'm not doing it unless I have to. To date, since a8, i have not had to do a clean install. maybe i'm lucky

done. Your A17 install will be in c:\Servers\MyFirstA17Dedi (use whatever path you like)

Cleanest way.. open up DOS prompt command window.
Type Format C:\

Reinstall

Go to 'My Computer', go to 'Windows (C', then there should be a folder called 'Program Files (x86)'. This means that there are 86 virusses on your computer, so you have to delete the entire folder!

Lol, that or TFP just knows how to delete old files and replace with new ones really well? But with A17, that could be tricky, lots of new systems and files and getting rid of old systems. More likely to have an issue this update if you do have them.

I miss the days when you delete exlporer.exe on school pc to avoid exams.

Don't have a DOS promt. But when I try it says:

You can scare viruses from your hard drive by taking the drive out of the computer, placing it as close as you can to a very large speaker and playing some Wagner at them very loudly. That should work for both platter drives and ssd's.

I use the Game Lancher to clear all game data then steam to uninstall. Then I manually delete 7 days folders in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common and ...\AppData\Roaming. From there I use CCleaner to clear the registry. Kinda overkill I know but hey at least I am sure it is all gone. Then just use steam to install new copy of 7 days.

And if you're on Linux you can just copy/paste this into a terminal. The fastest way to nuke all your 7DtD game, config, and game saves. :3
