That's very close to my rig actually, few minor differences like raid 0 ssd's and windows 10 pro is a must. You can buy keys online that are legit for like $10 if you google it.

big difference in performance with PRO compared to Home edition?

Just built 2 systems for my wife and i.

Any windows Key will be a free upgrade to win10 pro just fyi have thatbold laptop or pc not used in years FREE key to claim upgrade to you. Old. Keys that where "hacked" codes as few like to say. Will work and upgrade free.

8700k I7

Asus z370 E MB

Ripjaw 3000. 32 gig ram

Msi Duke 1080 TI

Both systems with monitors. And such was 4500 bucks. I snaged both the 1070 ti's for 550 a pop. Sorry the RTX can suck it at close to 3x the cost

Im running at close to 100 fps nonestop aboult 75 on hordnight

Good to know... gotta start doing my research now and build it on paper. Looking forward to getting more into the spec side of computers.
actually, starting with very cheap and constantly upgrading, ends up more expensive. it is cheaper to build decent pc and upgrade few years later, if you really need to.

Roland, one question. Does the game have a fps limit? Per example 30-60 fps by default. Or will be an option to amplify them?
most of time my fps is 70 and above, rarely drops below 40 and that for few seconds only. max i get is around 160 fps. i think, there is no limit, unless you activate v-sync

Last alpha I asked if the loot respawn timer could be made random between two set values. I think MM said in his Q&A video back then that they weren't sure what they were going to do with loot timers yet. Has there been any change for A17? I don't like the system in A16 where a player on a server can loot the highest value loot containers like clockwork if they know exactly when a loot container will respawn.

Same here unless I'm hosting a game and then my frames get wrecked.

Which I have been meaning to ask TFP about if it's possible to put in some extra code that will look for CPU's with extra cores with 8 or more and dedicate cores to just the server part so that there is no FPS drop from sharing cores with the game.

I heard a rumor that there would be a new Blood Moon Adjuster profession with perks in assessing base damage costs, spike replacement costs, and turret ammo reimbursement allocations. As long as you take comprehensive screenshots of your base before horde night you could wind up with a nice amount of dukes to spend a few days after horde night-- or you could end up with nothing due to a bureaucratic technicality.
I think Guppy is consulting on this....
I dont know how i feel about this. One end is a cool idea and would cut down on spending the next down repairing and replacing the resouces needed. But (big one) how would that fit in the context of the perks. As of what we have seen of A17 and as of now of 16.4. all the perks make sense in terms of believability. But with base reimbursement it kinda doesnt seem to fit. Does an insurance adjustor come out after horde night to see the damage to zombies killed ratio and you are given a check. or does an airdrop show up and drops off the spikes and walls lost?

Im not against it per say, but confused on how it would fit in.

Roland was clearly not being serious ;) Guppy is experienced in that field however...

Wow.

So yeh, you'll also have to take measurements, get finish types (block texture ids), and create valuations on the structure so you can properly prepare your estimate for the Duke and get the proper payment.

The xmls are almost finished.

Thanks for your time with this, Guppy!

All these great Quality of Life features will really streamline the fun! Now we don't need to clean up the corpses on day 8, and any damage done during a horde night will be reimbursed if we take out the insurance policy with the Duke.

You're doing the Lords work, Guppycur!

LOL good one!!!Perlin caves were promised about 4 or 5 alphas ago, but have never made the cut.. Dont know if they will ever be seen again...

Cough
I know.. lots of things have been promised by the pimps.. I need a new pimp! Who wants to pimp me? I'm a pro 69er with a zombie :spy:

Faatal just gave us an update that caves are not being worked on for A17.
How about some changes in the last week:

Fall damage improvements.

Zombies dig better.

Vultures got tweaked.

Barbed wire was improved.

Zombies jump with more variety.

Spiders can now get to you better.

Cops vomit when they should and don't send extra spit to the north.

Thanks for sharing, keep them coming! thx!

Sooo I made a comment about no update for 2 weeks, my post was edited, and received no answer. =(

If we could at least get a ballpark estimate on release (i.e. 3-6 weeks, 2-3 months, never) it would be really appreciated.

So in terms of the jumping is that just for the usual 1 block jump up or is there a chance we will see leaping? ;)

Jump variety refers to different types of jump animations, or to different lengths/heights they can reach? Of course, both would be the best answer ;D
