You should have a pretty decent rig with $1000. I started with about a $400 rig and it grew into this.

Good to know... gotta start doing my research now and build it on paper. Looking forward to getting more into the spec side of computers.

It would be cool to see traders in non-trader environments... killable ones, too.
@Roland, when traders were first introduced, I believe MM said that their invulnerability was temporary. That gonna change?

This would be awesome. I love the idea of having traders at world-gen that can potentially be damaged and destroyed. Would make people stop and contemplate when/how they approach the traders, as well as making their existence more important...if all your traders die...then what?

Fun thoughts.

Anyone looking to build a rig...

I always wait for boxing day, and line up early early morning, and go for the flash sale items on the day of. I was able to build myself a $3k rig for 2k this way... you also have to be flexible on your hardware preference and go with what gives you the best VALUE for your money.

Thank you, i can't take all the credit though the original design is from minecraft someone by the name jagthunder1 made a 5 and a half hour guide to building it. After i finished the guide i just used 7dtd ramps and corner pieces to smooth it all out but 95% of the interior is all me :smile-new:

Apropos vulnerable traders. You can play Undead Legacy. if you want to see how it feels like. It works quite well together with guard NPCs (but probably wouldn't work as is on public servers). And I assume TFP is waiting for them to be implemented before they remove the invulnerability.

Roland, one question. Does the game have a fps limit? Per example 30-60 fps by default. Or will be an option to amplify them?

That and the calculations required for SI were killing the FPS in lower-end systems.

I don't know. Future stuff like that is such a maybe. I'd love to have them be vulnerable. However...without reputation or factions in the game it really doesn't make a whole lot of difference unless you are planning to grief.

Do it! It's a lot of fun and it's really quite easy.

Nothing like firing up a machine that you hand assembled and playing cool games on it awesomely! :smile-new:

p.s. I built one for a friend recently (sans monitor) for around $800 and it plays 7d2d really well. He's over the moon with it. He had been using a laptop too.

It's sweet! Everyone on this forum knows just how much work that you have put into that.

Been playing through today and loved the rain that I was getting. I with that it would rain more often. Seems that most of the time I get sunny days. But having a thunderstorm is great.

Also sound effects. If TFP's could mix it up with some other sounds, that would be great. A crow for example would be nice to hear.
