Just imagine how extreme the trolls would be if the progress bar was still here lol. It would have been moving like .005% a week at this point.

Yes there are good choices out there. But how many can you flatten any POI and build up a fortress there, where mobs can kick in? There are no voxel games that are as good as 7D2D IMO.
There are ZERO games as good as 7D2D - in ALPHA - especially for $20!!!!!!!!. And I only have 3800 hours in. I have been (computer) gaming since 1972, and it's well were over a couple thousand games - for many computer systems - and I still have ALL of them (in their original boxes). (And, yep, even the Comodore 64 disk games still work - not the tape ones... And the TI 52/59 cards still work. Well, most of them.)

(And, yep, the dashes/hyphens are intentional...)

This is the only game i play that does this. Maybe all that time spent on the console version port should of been spent on PC and it would be on schedule. That turned into a ♥♥♥♥show.

Coughs* Whatever * Coughs
Guess how much time TFP spends on consoles updates thereby slowing A17 - NONE!

Why on earth would someone buy a broken game that the Dev's don't have enough money to pay for staff to fix it and roll it out?
I undertand that some of you will jump on the flame wagon and shoot any nonconformist / nonbeliever that posts here but come on... 12 months for a new release?
Hahahahahahahahahaha!!!!

I imagine that this is what Flat Earthers say, "I'm just a nonconformist/nonbeliever," as if it's just a matter of opinion. I'll treat you like I would treat them: as an ignorant person who doesn't know what they're talking about.

I love it when people say something inflammatory and entirely incorrect then paint themselves as the innocent martyr and anyone that disagrees with them is in the wrong.
Yup.

I don't, I build an underground hole. I never see zombies. I got bored and logged in again, replanted some mushrooms, made some more concrete blocks... decided to look up above ground, and why bother? The game needs to force challenge upon the player, not expect me to deliberately handicap myself in order to generate an artificial challenge. Sure, I could decide to only use a club and no armor or skill points and run around at night with no light... but why??
Why go up into the world? Simple - to have fun.

- - - Updated - - -

just stop waiting there is no point when they even release the streamers to play we still have probably 1-3 months to wait after that.
UM - no, just no. When the streamers get it (on a friday) we then get it on the next monday or tuesday so a 3-4 day wait.

So, I've been thinking about this recent trolling over longest time between updates.

1. What counts? Haven't things like Bard's Tale, NeverWinter Nights etc, been updated with all new graphics, missions, etc? Wasn't there YEARS in between?

2. Could you claim those don't cont because they had been 'released'? Then why would you claim the same for a game that you KNOWINGLY purchased that VERY LOUDLY says EARLY ACCESS GAME?

BTW - Half Life 3 has been in development since 2006. Are you complaining over there? Oh, it doesn't have Early Access? Then why did you purchase one that is and use arguments against it as if it wasn't?

I've been around for a couple years and don't post much, and while I am a TFP fanboy, it's not why you would consider me a 'white knight'. (I would prefer to be a 'blue knight'.) I have just learned how to manage my expectations.

Xandyr78: thanks and kudos for your posts. (At least until MidnightRook returns. Hey...)

Lol. The console port wasn't even done by the same company let alone same Dev team. But keep making things up in your head.

And with a company going out of business and the whole console port being totally up in the air now...that none of their resources are being used or stressed in any way....everyone is just plugging along ignoring it..because none of their resources were used when first porting to console right.....excellent business mind!!!

Yep. It is. Until Telltale stuff is finalized there is literally nothing they CAN do about it. Therefore the best thing they can do is keep working on what is in front of them.

Anything else you have no clue about you would like to discuss?

So absolutely nothing is happening ...and you have first hand knowledge how??

It's not a matter of choosing to ignore it or not. I'm not a law expert, but TFP gave the rights to Telltale to handle the console port. Telltale has taken a hit but the company itself is not disappearing, so I doubt TFP can do anything about the port even if they did want to pour resources into it. So indeed, none of TFP's resources for A17 are being used or stressed because of the whole console thing affair.

I would as an owner, be quite worried about damaging my brand, so im sure there is something happening... taking up their time

As far as I understand, the owners are not programmers. Joel is an artist. And from what we hear, currently no matter how much art gets done, there's a lot of programming bugs left to squash. So even if the owners were investing time into some sort of damage control (which I doubt, this is not an AAA company that has to care about its image like that), it shouldn't be delaying things.

Hello and good evening to everyone! I am sorry to have been away for some time, have that whole LIFE bit to deal with. How have things been going here? Anyone want to catch me up on the last couple of weeks? I guess apart from the usual "Why isn't this released yet?" to and fro. I have missed everyone! Hope you are having a wonderful night! :rapture:

Welcome back, just the usual stuff plus various conspiracy theories over the effect of the closure of Telltale. Nothing too exciting lol.

Oh yeah, really? That sucks about telltale. Personally I've never been a fan of super linear games and most of their stuff looked more like an interactive novel. Which is all great I guess, I just prefer a little more free roaming, sandbox in the games I play. Otherwise I tend to read books for that sort of thing. But several of my friends liked the work they did.

Also, I guess, not playing much on a console, well...fortunately I am not as devastated by this news as I could be. I will be thankful for small boons where I can find them.
