The melee back-and-forth playstyle is not *very* different from A16, as everyone speculated. It's somewhat improved, a little harder to time it just right, the zombies are not instantly stunned by hits and can hit you as you hit them.
Was it just me, or is the player's reach longer than it was?

He seemed to be hitting the zombies while they were a surprisingly long distance away.

Yah, but most are pretty bland. Practically no seasoning. I'm still waiting for a well-marinated trackpad.
I dunno some of my coworkers here eat at their desks over their laptops with no regard for spillage, I've seen a lot of seasoned track pads.

Yep, the video totally debunked the need for the sprint backwards deal.

So long... where is it...?

Anyways, thanks for the teaser and what not. I was just thinking - is anyone considering any sort of visible damage to the zombies (like blood marks) where you are connecting? It would help immersion a fair bit. I was just thinking when Roland was striking with that ax how much some marks on the Z's would help...

Anyways, carry on... release the kraken... all that stuff...

Thanks for the video!

Don't know why I didn't realise earlier, but it looks like the devs fixed the issue that made zombies look too dark, which is awesome news. Zombies look way better now :)

@Roland: i have a question about mods:

Will mods be all the same (i'm talking about stats) or we can have the same mod with different stats?

Like a silencer that silences more than other silencers?

Cheers

You guys realise that you’re just making yourselves look like spoiled teenagers, right? No matter how many times you say it, no matter how many times you sulk, you still won’t get it until it’s done.

It may have just been me but the sledgehammer looked like it was the worst weapon of the bunch. Maybe his timing was off with it.

The shovel is a bit of wierd to me more. I mean everyone know how to hit with a shovel ( if not give your girl a frying pan and make her angry(pan is for minimal damage, but same movement) ) and its not like we dig into someone`s face. I don`t mind them so much, it is charming the game.

I was thinking the same thing... it is the experimental after all, we accept bugs at this point.
There is a reason why they don't do it: Experimental is mainly for finding bugs they don't know about. But if they have not eliminated the bugs they already know about they get many bug reports about these already known bugs.

no you don´t want that. We had some realy terrible releases where the game was unplayable in MP or some players could not join, or nearly everyday fixes that required restarts, or whatever else could go wrong, and believe me we where not happy at all ^^

I remember those days, when outrage truly meant outrage instead of just questioning the divinity of the devs.

When the linux build had a pitch black sky 24/7... great days :-)

Absolutely ! The fact that pimps made this experimental branch and giving us the opportunity to be part of the bug search party is priseless. Few more alpha games do it to and it is proven process that makes the product just better, for less time.
