If any news about a release date from any game can be described as "hurting" you, maybe take a break from games in general for a bit.

Why do people post about this game like the family they haven't seen in years just called to say they decided to stay home and watch TV instead of meeting up for Christmas?

My only concern is that they are taking all this time and it will still be buggy. Not really a concern per say, because i know it will happen. My concern will be reaction. Even my own, because i have been around since A-6? so I know it will be buggy but it will be more difficult to run into game breaking bugs after this much polish.
I know it will be "experimental" and i know it will break but it will be hard after this long of a wait to run into random map resetting bugs. Not expecting anything to change, just thinking about it... :/

All this talk about months of bug fix after bug fix and i cant keep from expecting a somewhat bug free game.

Yes I probably should, but it is much harder to skip the experimental when I have been waiting a year for the release...

This weekend will be no problem missing, i have the bf5 demo/beta to keep me busy.

Just talked to the Huenink Brothers and they said it won't be this weekend starting Sept 7 for sure. Joel said 0% chance it will be ready this week.

Rick said it would be "overly optimistic to get it out before the end of the month".

They are 100% fixing bugs and making sure all of the features work with each other. They know that the community wants it and they know that it has been longer than a year. They understand the frustration that is out there but they are not going to rush what they are doing.

now translation just in case everyone missed my last one. its done when its done. but we are going to continue to put abstract progress bars at the top of the forum discussion. and get mad at everyone for getting mad at us for getting mad at them for getting mad at us.

on a side note i did call it being another whole month in my last translation

They won't be. There was a few comments discussing the day hordes of previous alphas, during which someone then mentioned how tough it would be if the blood moon hordes were random. Someone else then started it as "fact" sarcastically to troll people, and it got repeated.

my birthday is october 19, and i take 2 weeks off from work shortly after, i can't imagine a better gift from TFP :)

 
I literally haven't closed this thread since the day it was posted and I'm sitting here seriously thinking about closing it, to say that I'm disappointed is a gross understatement.

Well, I'm sure everyone can agree with me: Its good that it will be the first of next month because, I'll be back from vacation. :)

I mean, who else can type: "OMG OMG OMG!!! THIS GAME IS AWESOME!!!" Like me? My keyboard was made by angels, so don't even try to type that...

On the bright side, just think of it as waiting for a18. If a17 would have released back in june we would all be in the next thread talking, foaming at the mouth, waiting for the newest unity update to be added to a18.

Oh and those memes you all posted after the news had me cracking up lmao.

@MM Roland, Thanks for info, but as I said before, they can still share some gameplay video every 7-8 days !!! so we keep commenting on what to improve or change or look bad or complain for something rather than just delay :) . I love watching new feature video.

 
Pretty sure Gazz is referring to the old day 6 dog horde day (or was it day 5).. been so long can't remember anymore... If he isn't then uh... all hell's breaking loose.

Totally understand where you're coming from. However, you still have to keep in mind that no matter how much testing they do there are limits to how many situations/scenarios they can simulate. The pimps could spend a decade hunting bugs and on release people would still find things they missed. Just a fact of life. Personally I'm just glad they put up with all of us constantly begging/pleading with them for info/release date estimates. Lol. At the end of the day all we can do is wait and hope.
