Most of those reports are coming from people who had to translate my email. The truth is that two weeks ago when people were hoping for the game to come out before the end of August I told the streamers to not expect the game until the second week of September at the earliest. At. The. Earliest.
I don't know how that translates but what it definitely doesn't mean is that the update is for sure coming out mid-September as some kind of TRUTH. The purpose of the email was to tell the streamers two weeks ago that it was going to be awhile still.
i think i can help with that translation roland.

it translates to what TFP keeps saying and doing "its done when its done" but were gunna keep throwing progress bars and guesses out there when it will be released then get mad at everyone for getting mad as us for getting mad at them when its been 4 weeks after said guess but its still going to be another 2 weeks maybe even another month because time management has somewhat been destroyed because we FORGOT ABOUT THE BUGS!!!

 
Lock picking is confirmed! Inventory going from 32 to 45 inventory slots? That's HUGE for nomad gameplay.
Brilliant for pvp too, now we can steal more off the dead bodies off our enemies AND steal more from their bases! woop Woop!!

i've been saying lately that TFP is going to inadvertently help PVP without even knowing they're doing it, that's why my suggestions on that other thread was so short. but not necessarily needed for a good pvp experience. because honestly its pretty good as is. i always had a blast and can't wait to get back into the swing of things and 7 days will be a good game for another few years now.

 
There's plenty of PvP features in game already. They'll get around to improving it eventually. As MM has said before, it's a lower priority right now.

I mean look at how long it took them to get new vehicles in the game and that was planned years ago.

With the major engine changes I think that content and long awaited features will be coming faster than ever. MM in his video explained two major performance improvements to the engine, mainly texture streaming. Hopefully that will free up resources for a lot more content. And remember that was a limitation of Unity not TFP.

Not thrilled about how melee is basically going to be extinct as a viable strategy. With the slow backup speed and the very precise hitboxes, combined with the unpredictable enemy movements, I expect the number of people using melee as their primary combat strategy to dwindle dramatically.

I'm not crazy about the stamina and health meters showing positive and negative effect magnitudes instead of an absolute value. I just hope we can still turn the numbers off so it doesn't go back to a "keep the bars full" game.

The sleepers seem unbalanced still. While I'm excited that they are finally getting better I think the fact that the sleepers respawned like five times in a 20 minute span of MM's video shows me the balance is not there yet.

I think they're still moving in the right direction and I can't wait for my bigger backpack FINALLY!!!

If you take as long to cook a burger as it is taking to do A17 she's probably starving mate. ;)

 
Naw, she counts as a quality tester so we’re all pool side digesting right now. It was a good release. ‘Scuse me...time for another Dr Pepper.
