Cracking the whip won't do much good, this is a unity problem and as such not something TFP have much control over. I'd expect fataal to have made use of the multi-threading job system to speed up pathfinding but that's pure speculation on my part.
Addendum: You won't see any noticable difference above 100fps simply because you can't. The human eye has hardware limitations like everything else.
You can tell a difference and the human eye does not see in FPS. This FPS malarky has been going round the internet for years but facts are facts, my experience show you can tell between 60-100-144 and above, I can only test to 144FPS as my monitor is 144hz any fps above this will not be noticable do to the refresh frequency.

Roland

If the bandits are postponed to A18 or later then is the tamable wolf left for a later date too? (It was only as a concept in the video madmole made, and I just want to know if that's still a feature) You should add him to the dropped features list or mark it as a postponed feature just like the bandits. Sorry if this post causes any misunderstandings.

Pedant mode! Activate!

You're right that the human eye doesn't work in FPS, it's an electrical system which works in Hz. Since 1 Hz = 1 FPS it's generally better to use FPS as the light entering the eye is also measured in Hz and the electrical signals from the eye to the brain are also measured in Hz which can lead to a lot of confusion.

How well you can distinguish frames is determined by quite a few things other than the ability of the eye to transmit data to the brain. In situations where your adrenalin gland is pumping there's a noticable increase in reaction time at the expense of higher brain functions, never try to do math problems in the middle of a fight, I learned this the hard way doing MMA training. :-)

The actual limit for a human to distinguish data from a single image is around 500 Hz but that's only been proven on specially trained individuals such as fighter pilots looking for objects they are trained to recognise such as aeroplanes. The brain takes longer to process unfamiliar objects and so this measurement is largely influenced by previous experience.

There's also the issue with refreshing LCD screens, the reason many gamers stick to old fashioned CRT for competative gaming or use expensive specialist monitors which are designed to limit this problem. To speed up the refresh rate it's common for non-changing parts of the screen to be skipped during a refresh but this system isn't perfect and so glitches and artifacts are common. This is largely unnoticable unless you're specifically looking for them.

If you can see a noticable flicker above 100 Hz you either need a new monitor, you've been playing too many games, or you're a high-powered mutant of some kind with abilities above and beyond those of normal folk.

Any guesses as to max number of same time blood moon zombies selectable in the menu for A17 due to performance improvements? Will it be more than the current 64?

Oh hell I always play with the screamers until I get a lot more than 64, fun times!

Have I missed anything? Let me guess TFP main backup servers went tits up and ate all the programming. They are desperately trying to piece everything together and need our HELP! Send your old copies of 7D2D or we may never play again!!!!

Yup. MM could do his play-through with Jackhammers running in the background and it would sound like music to my ears. :D

We will all enter Valhalla together, as 3 million players die fighting Day 1 on some Monday soon! :)

Edit: Of course, it will be Day 243, before the hordes of evil will be able to stop Aldranon and his Holy Avenger, Spiked Club... of DOOOM! :)
