When A17 does come out will it be possible to use LCB's to pick up native spawned crafting stations? I never use LCB's since I play solo, but just made one to try out; no surprise, it didn't let me pick up the forge. However; if it did then that would work as a solution to a large portion of my last comment.
I don't know. I can try it out and see.

Roland, can you get us any more screenshot of the new graphic changes for A17? I'm a sucker for eyecandy.
Sorry. But not without permission from the developers. You'll have to continue to monitor Madmole's twitter I'm afraid.

No more meat smell? I always volunteered to be the meat man because then i can level up the fastest by getting the most kills. Its only really scary at night, and thats what you gotta find grain alcohol for. Will you still run faster than a z, and will grain alcohol sustain you stamina wise still?

It’s unclear to me what they plan to do with smells. I hope they make a return. I think faatal plans to look at it when he has time.

Stamina is different now and the last time I tried beer I don’t think the buffs were working properly with the new setup. I’ll have to give it another try.

1) Killing zombies using a bow and arrows is amazingly fun and cathartic. When people actually get to play it they will apologize to me for saying my Everdeen clue was for a boring new feature...
2) The new smarter zombie pathing and the number of outdoor walkers. I'm not going to say that it is back to A10 levels but there are a lot more zombies wandering around outside than in A16. And not one of them will start walking in circles. They want your brains.

3) The new systems (skills, survival, party, and quest). I know that's cheating but really I can't limit myself to three. All these new systems really have enhanced the game in my opinion and will be popular features.

I haven't been able to play a sustainable game yet to get to good horde nights but I have simulated it by spawning in 25 or 50 feral zombies who could detect me and run for my brains. It is horrific and scary. Standing around WILL result in your death. If they don't bring down your base and collapse you from where you are hiding they will gain access to where you are as blocks break and new pathways open up to you. They are relentless and you will have to actively defend and definitely have fallback positions and even an escape plan in place for when your base gets compromised and overrun.
Sounds like great fun!

I have been literally over run three times by 7 day hordes, if memory serves, in all my game plays, and one was from a game bug. So, this will be a scary feeling now, when horde night could be my character's LAST night (dead is dead).

In general terms in your opinion, what needs to be ironed out before the 7 day hordes can attack?

its a whole new ballgame when you cant just run through the zeds anymore. Also I cant wait to see the zeds no longer walking in circles and jumping up and down in place.

I'll be looking back at A16 as the last time I survived horde night.

Roland, you like the bow but have you had much of a chance to play with modded guns? If so whats been the funnest set up? Not the most powerful, but most satisfying to shoot.

Roland, is stealth still working in 17 as it is now. Nothing got my heart pumping like when I joined server and it was night. I crouched without any source of light but could see zombies against the skyline running past me (within couple of feet). The only time I was noticed was when one actually ran directly into me... I stood and ran a little ways and crouched again and was no longer hunted. There was puckerage...

As was allready mentioned, hope flowers get a 3d remake, cause apart from that and the ground textures, that last MM twitter picture is a dream.

And to whoever did that small HD bush that's allready in the game, you sir deserve a raise.

There are a few of us me included that would like to know if there are any 4k assets in the game so when we play @ 3840x2160 we can enjoy the graphics, maybe some of the nature perhaps?

the stealth system . omg I love it , its not accurate 100% but its enough for me

yeah Roland please confirm . the pic that prime posted during Q&A didnt have the yellow bar, i think

Electricity

Dear FP, when Electricity comes up for review next, would it be possible to run Solar Banks/Battery Banks in series? When I eventually find a purple battery or six, or trade away my last 20,000 coins for that purple solar panel, I'm still having brown-outs due to power drain and then have to run another phase of power lines to keep the lights on in, "The Castle of Doooooom". Trying to go completely fossil fuel free in my last run at A16. No generators, completely eco friendly and all that "good stuff". Only the best homemade and completely bio-degradable Z compost for my expanding Agro business. Still have nowhere to plug in the Tesla overnight mind. Hmm, electric vehicles? We do have rechargeable batteries...

@Roland

There was so often told things like: "The developers work and rewrite basics things of the code that took a huge amount of time". So I would expect that we (the players) get a benefit of that. What was told is that all those old problems like water physics, lags in melee combat and lags of any other kind are still the same as in A16. I am for myself a coder and when I do refactoring of my applications there must be a clear benefit. (unless I did code like a bunch of ♥♥♥♥ and just do rework my code to get it clear for myself again). So where is the benefit ? What was optimized ?

As a coder you must have a pedantic streak like the rest of us so I ask you this.

When did anyone say water physics was being fixed for A17?

When did anyone say predictive algorithms would be put into A17 network code to help with latency?

It was more about getting an answer to the question than cutting out my examples. I know these things where NOT done ... So I repeat myself: What was done ? Whats the direct or indirect result for the player ? (Is the laggy item search gone, the FPS drops reduced...etc)

You mean apart from the massive list of confirmed features in the first few posts of the dev diary?

yes, I mean the optimizations done based on A16.x which results should be improvements for things wo already had in A16.x and now are better in A17. (In my git repositorys I would call them "major fixes")

Sorry for my english. Its not my nativ language.
