Yes, people. Let's get off the subject of release dates and back on the subject of A17. I'm happy to answer any questions I can to get us back on track.

Yes I have 2 questions? So I saw the video on the gyrocopter will that be joining us in alpha 17? I didn't see it listed. Also will the any of the new vehicles need to be built like the minibike in game now?

Also great job on everything so far. I've learned patience with this game over the years. It's a great game and it just keeps getting better. As long as Alpha 17 is worth the almost year wait. I don't care about the release date. Take your time guys. Make this game even greater.

 
Has the lighting (light fixtures) been fixed so if we put more then 10-50+ up and it won't bring us to our knees at 10 FPS... also experienced FPS loss when painting multi textures in an area.. pressure plates also caused FPS lag..... has gardens been fixed??? and last but not least.. are we able to blow things up without having the voxels lag out the whole server yet? :)

oh and when is it getting released :) ..... jk........ haha

@devs or @RolandI have a question regarding looting. If it was explained before, sorry :)

From what I understood, there are now 2 types of containers: lootable and empty. Those two get randomly placed when a POI is created.

What happens after the loot respawn time expires? Do they remain the same, just the looted ones get refilled? Or are they randomly shuffled so that some that were empty before are now lootable and vice versa?
 
I would like to know if the issue while playing mp where a zombie can hit you from 10ft away has been fixed? Makes melee combat for me unplayable for me while play mp. And I’m pretty burn out on single player

 
Another question is funcom ever going to fix the lag for Conan exiles lags on pc console awesome game but horrible lag. And ai 🤣 bonus points if you know the answer Roland

Blood moon horde, or wandering horde, or just any large crowd of dead heads? Please be specific.

faatal said that the gyrocopter will not make it to A17. It will be in the debug menu though if you want to play around with it. If you press F1 and then type dm and enter and then ESC, a menu appears that let you spawn in entities. For A16 you can spawn in bandits that way. For A17 you will be able to spawn in the gyrocopter that way (provided they don't remove it)

All of the vehicles will need to be built but not like the minibike is now. The assembly UI we have now is being repurposed to be the mod attachment UI. You will craft vehicles using the workbench. You will first craft components and then use those components as the mats to craft the vehicle so it will be a bit more complex than other craftable items in the game.

This is server desync. It can be fixed by lowering their reach in hand item in items.xml. Not the answer you're looking for but server lag is a tough one.

Sorry, I don't know the answers to those. My guess is that such thing are going to continue to plague us until beta...

 
HI Roland, my question is how will Zs recognize u. Will they hear me, smell me or just see me ?
They can hear you and see you. Smell is still MIA. So that guy you used to bully into being the "meat carrier" for the group can still breathe easy. :)

 
When A17 does come out will it be possible to use LCB's to pick up native spawned crafting stations? I never use LCB's since I play solo, but just made one to try out; no surprise, it didn't let me pick up the forge. However; if it did then that would work as a solution to a large portion of my last comment.

 
Sorry, I don't know. I am pretty sure the lootable containers and the static unlootable decorations are set at the time the world is generated so I doubt they reshuffle at loot respawn time. But I suppose it is possible. I'll try testing it next time I have a chance.

That is purely a connection speed issue. When I host my brother I have zero problems and he's getting hit from 10ft away. When he hosts me then it reverses. When we play on a dedicated server then it is much better but never quite as good as just playing SP. This same problem will exist in A17 and A18 etc. There are some servers I play and I have no problem but then others where it becomes unplayable.

Until they are willing to pay the license fees for using the likeness of Arnold for Conan as well as some sweet Arnold one liners for the vocals, the Conan Universe will never allow the game to be lag free out of protest. Arnold is Conan and the game knows it.

1) Killing zombies using a bow and arrows is amazingly fun and cathartic. When people actually get to play it they will apologize to me for saying my Everdeen clue was for a boring new feature...

2) The new smarter zombie pathing and the number of outdoor walkers. I'm not going to say that it is back to A10 levels but there are a lot more zombies wandering around outside than in A16. And not one of them will start walking in circles. They want your brains.

3) The new systems (skills, survival, party, and quest). I know that's cheating but really I can't limit myself to three. All these new systems really have enhanced the game in my opinion and will be popular features.

I haven't been able to play a sustainable game yet to get to good horde nights but I have simulated it by spawning in 25 or 50 feral zombies who could detect me and run for my brains. It is horrific and scary. Standing around WILL result in your death. If they don't bring down your base and collapse you from where you are hiding they will gain access to where you are as blocks break and new pathways open up to you. They are relentless and you will have to actively defend and definitely have fallback positions and even an escape plan in place for when your base gets compromised and overrun.
