Did you read Roland's posts that this is an ongoing discussion among the devs? Vanilla A17 is not going to have removable attachments. But that isn't set in stone for A18 or beyond. Plus, it is easily moddable in the XML's on a per attachment basis.
Funny reading all that like there was some big tactical decisions made. I haven't even discussed this with anyone, but I'm thinking I want to remove mods, but have a 50% chance it breaks. None of this stuff is set in stone yet. Well, we are definitely going to have zombies and blocks that you can break. Chill... ;)

 
Any playtesters reveal what version of Unity3D exactly is being used for A17? Alron a Tower of Time dev says version 5.6.5p3 can have some graphical glitches with the then-experimental Vulkan renderer. If 7DtD's Unity is newer though maybe it will be okay! :3

Its not about tactics. Its about immersion :D

It makes no sense not beeing removable. A chance (maybe dependant on weaponcrafting or some other skill) for it to break is absolutly fine :)

 
Nah, that would not. I'am ok with tech/scientistic stuff, I'am not ok with magic. Not for 7DTD. If I'd want that, I'd play Minecraft. 7DTD should remain somewhat realistic, else, it would break immersion. If there were some stupid cult, next thing I'd expect is a magic wand. Goes bad with an AK.
I could go with a cult summoning something or a virus. Either way. Going back to the tech/science side, I'd still hope to see big military compounds or labs that are overrun with soldiers in kevlar and techs in lab coats. Maybe have this lab at coordinates 0.0 instead of the hub city? But with this possibly being ground zero for the virus, the zeds are always feral. In a bunker next to the lab there is radioactive storage that lets out a slow trickle of rad zeds. Maybe theres a tank and a bunch of ammo boxes in the basement of the lab to make it worth your while. (Evil giggles) Cough *Tanks!* Cough.

 
Can we mod in the passenger option of the jeep now that it isn't coming up?
To be able to mod stuff, it must be created first. There is a reason it is not in A17, but who knows, they can add in A17.x .

Magic wand that summons ak's confirmed for A17!

Either that or a magic wand that shoots sharks with lazor beams out of it.

It requires a chopping block and high pain tolerance.

It's one of those tricks you can only do once and wish you did it less. Not worth winning a bet at Al's Marina -n- Bar.

I imagine that after they've tried it and seen it's buggy they still let it in for the modders to enable it.

It is not working that way. Pimps create stuff and do not hope that if they can`t do something ( in time ) , they will let it to the moders do it.

For those who mod. Additions to the Jeep could really buff your fire power. Add an auto turret to the passenger side (I call shotgun!!) and a flamer on the rear for those glowing eyed running types that want to ride your bumper. Along with a generator in the back seat for power. Sky is the limit.

Maybe a chainsaw style front bumper for those that attempt some road side wandering zombie action?

Plus a top mounted turret for those feathered threats.

Then there is all the paint schemes that could be put on your ride to really max out that ‘Mad Max’ feel.

Mod away.....

I believe it's been asked before, and (I could be wrong, but) the version is Unity3d 2018.1

No but they do leave things in that don't work right. Perfect example being the elevator that modders were then able to use since it was already there in the TFP base code.
