Hey...I updated the OP two days ago...while on vacation.
You start with three rows of 9 slots so that is 27 slots for the math impaired.

Every time you purchase a rank in your Strength attribute it unlocks a slot (or maybe two-- still on vacation so can't check). Thanks to the extra line they put in you can unlock an additional 18 slots for a total of 45 slots once your strength is maxed out.
OK I would like some clarification on this ,are we getting 9 slots per row in alpha 17 ,or is the math wrong and we still only get 8 slots per row as it is in alpha 16 ?

Im 95% sure it’s nine slots per row in A17. I don’t remember how many it was in A16. I can’t check right now for 100% confirmation because I’m 600 miles away from my desktop.

A16 vanilla is 4 rows and 8 columns for a total of 32 slots. :)

So that means we're only "losing" 5 slots when we start the game, but we can earn them back.

A12 we had to make molds for each gun part. all guns had their own mold, your level of crafting ,was how the parts level was picked. like 8 clay and a part to make the item.. much better i think, then A16 any way!
I started in A-16, but I would like to see this back. I am hoping something similar to what you mentioned returns and is required in A-17.

I haven't played Minecraft in years, but it reminds me of a mod in Minecraft I loved (don't remember the name of) because it was such a challenge to get the tools/weapon molds, then make them with different metals, THEN add mods (that you could not undo) and if you did it right with strategy in mind, you have an amazing tool or weapon... not in 30 minutes, but in 20-30 hours of gameplay from day 1. The feeling of accomplishment was real even though the product was a figment of the game's imagination. It could have been balanced better for challenge purposes, but I would not be mad if TFP follows a similar path for crafting the weapons themselves.... I'll keep a very open mind if they didn't.

PS:

I once watched the movie "Impossible Mission 1" and the helicopter in tunnel finale ruined the movie for me. I talked to others and nobody had the same reaction. It was just me. Everyone's immersion breaks differently.
That was immersion breaking for me too, to the point I never watched any of the rest of the series.

Well dang....now I’m only 85% sure and I’m itching to check to know. At least I’ll have something to keep me awake while driving home tomorrow.

I think there’s a YouTube compilation of all clips of Tom Cruise running which pretty much sums up all his movies. ;)

I checked in the windows XML file. Always keep a vanilla backup of the game just in-case I break something!

Yeah, I think I'll skip that. I'm not overly (or even any) impressed with him as an actor. I think there might be maybe 3 of his movies I actually liked him in.

Hmm, just realized that the 3 movies I actually like him in were ones they actually did not have him running in most of the movie.

Have you ever tried to disassemble your scooter at home under water so you could carry it out of a lake ? I think it is good, if you drive your vehicle in the lake you're just screwed.

Maybe you can get your loot out of it but the vehicle should be destroyed.
I have dismantled and put my minibike back together a few times because I was careless and drove it into a body of water,

it is possible.

While we are on the topic of PC performance (I lied, we are not) I was wondering if anyone has tips to improve performance. I found stuff for Minecraft that made a world of difference and hoping to with this game too... Being that both are Voxels.

I'm on an older Republic of Gaming ASUS gaming laptop with a GTX 960m, Intel i7-4720HQ 2.6 GHz processor, upgraded 1TB SSD. I'm getting around 30 fps. With it being a laptop, I am limited to what I can upgrade - HDD (already upgraded to SSD) and RAM. I don't think I can upgrade anything else.

Not an IT guy, but tech-savvy to a point... Is this considered a potato now?

There is software on Steam for a few bucks that forces the game to get exclusive use of parts of the core and keeps windows from interfering in those CPUs

CPUCores is the one I'm thinking of and it says it will increase FPS, maybe check out the comments section before buying.

simple , get a better computer ^^

More seriously, gras distant at minimum had a surprisingly huge impact on the performance on my old rig. (trees are also grass so watch out or you will hit sone of those trees poping up. ^^)

Thank you, Aldranon! +1 to you, sir! I've never heard of it. Definitely something I will research a bit and make sure it isn't a "Geek Squad" type thing where they charge you a bunch of money for something you can dig into your own settings and figure out yourself lol. Very helpful and I will post my experience just so others know if it works or not.

Cheers!

I altered the "arguments?" in Minecraft a long time ago and it also helped to allocate more RAM to Minecraft. Any idea if we are running into the same possibility with 7DTD? Just a thought.

Funny you mention because I do have grass set to "Near" and have become quite good at zigging and zagging between quick approaching trees and boulders as I ride my minibike.

I really want to build my own PC from the ground up. No doubt I have the intelligence for it... just need the money and time. With 4 kids, that is difficult hence why I have a laptop from 2015, but was smart enoug to get a gaming one - haha. I start a new job on Monday that includes a 30% increase in pay so I just might make my next project a legit gaming PC... Have to fly under the radar though because kdis come first so need to buy it piece-by-piece to keep the wife happy. Maybe I'll have a legit gaming rig by 2025 lol.

Thank you guys for the great ideas and suggestions. I know this isn't really the forum for it, but nonetheless thank you!!

The only problem with buying it piece by piece is that by the time you get all of the pieces, your early purchases may have gone down in price or may have become obsolete. Better to hide the money and buy it all at once when you have enough. Speaking from experience here.

so bandits got delayed huh? well that's definitely highly disappointing since that was what I was really hoping forward to A17 to make it have a better late end-game. oh well.
