The map will be more densely packed with interesting locations and bodies of water will be reduced in size to compensate.it hurts me a lot to read this 8 square kilometers is very little to explore and appearance of bandits in A18 had already come
Actually... to be fully accurate the maps are circles with a radius of 10k and not 10k by 10k squares. Kinyajuu said 8km by 8km for the new map but I’m assuming he meant 8km radius.8kmx8km is 64 square Kilometers. Not 8 square kilometers. Before it was 100 square kilometers. There were a lot of changes like the dungeon POI and apparently bodies of water being smaller that leave plenty of exploration even with the map being smaller. So no need to worry just because it is a smaller map.
This was also necessary so the rwg map could be easier pregenerated.
exactly, this month alone has felt like 4 months or more. I keep looking at the date and its like the month froze.first it was June, it was endless, then July was painful and now AUGUST! from June until today they passed like 8 hard years xD
I've never managed to fully explore a rwg map myself anyway so the size diff is not going to bother me. What does bother me is the skill system, I mostly play the game solo, and this sounds like its going to really hurt single players. Maybe make leveling have a "softcap" where once you hit it, each exp level you get after is only 1 skill point? IMO a player should be allowed to get all the perks if they play long enough, just make it take a stupidly high level to pull it off. have you ever coded anything? A while ago i had my husband drop me off at my teachers office to ask for help in finding a bug on my small homework assignment.
