I think Roland meant that when he asked Prime he said no (first time) and when he asked again whether or not he wanted the stream / Q-A to be announced he didn't reply back with a second no, or yes.

As far as A17 goes, I'm all for backpack expansion using skillpoints :)

Yes, but shouldn't the front page be a recap of what has been announced? Those things were announced by Prime and not listed in the first page.

Well, now these things have been announced... now they can be added to the first page. It has always been a growing list and updated AS we are being made aware of these things. It appears by Roland's post, the backpack sizes wasn't supposed to be announced, but a surprise... well cat's out of the bag.

 
Just to play a bit of devils advocate but wasn't there a feature freeze? I think fun pimps is using this term without knowing what it means. As "Possibly backpack size progression" is a feature and it should either be in and being worked on or out and not being worked on until A18. Based on this FP, is going to have a lot of scope creep which is going to extend the timelines of any release by a lot.

nothing mentioned there is new... has been in for a good while just nobody revealed everything and still more that they didnt say. cant reveal it all or people wont want to play to check them out. :)

 
Sphereii: How different are the new perks, compared to A16?
Kumbaja: You have to really use melee if you want to get into melee and the perks. And you'll want all the perks , not just the first ones.

Sphereei: Is it possible to buy all perks with default skill points?

Kumbaja: No, you'll only reach 1-2. You'll have to specialize. And we're going to be tweaking that to balance it more and more. Where you'll have to make decisions.

Fubar: You can join up with people. Exp sharing within 100 meters of friends.

Kumbaja: You have a modified max stamina, and basically that's how much food you have in you. The stamina regeneration // HP as well, is tied to how much water you have. If you're standing still and you have 10 regen. But when you have only 7.5 regen, then you're at 75% hydration. The more you do, the more you need.

Every point of stamina regenerated, uses up a point of food.

Sphereiie: What vehicles are coming in A17?




Fubar: Motor cycle // bicycle // Jeep.

Fubar // Kumbaja: Backpacks ---> There will be BIGGAAA backpacks. You start with a bit less space than before and with strength attribute you can ultimately carry more later. 45 max (maybe) ????

Sphereii: Has the power system been updated?

Fubar: Trying to get electric doors in. Not quite sure. If not A17, then definitely A18.

I check occasionally to see about the update (yes I am excited about this one) but otherwise haven't played the game at all. I keep thinking well I will be able to this or that and lose the drive to build then. :::sigh::: Now I feel like a child waiting for Christmas to get here lol

 
So walking is the best way to travel if your low on food or water? I know Empyrion has something like this and it makes sense.

 
Why was the Q&A with Prime and Kinyajuu not advertised here in the forum?



He even literally said that there wasn't much participation! WTF?

@Prime @Roland @TFP when this kind of things are organized, I would really like to know it here on the forum... maybe I missed it?

Im VERY disappointed this couldn't be announced ahead of time. They have Facebooks and Twitters. This is the exact kind of thing that makes people doubt the Fun Pimps. And for once I don't blame them. Instead of worrying about organizing streamer previews, MAYBE announce and organize when a public Q and A with the devs are going on? I'm a simple modder and even I am aware enough to know if I'm going to publicly answer questions on my mod, I should probably let people know its going on first.

So was this announced ahead of time, say more than a few hours notice? Things like this need more than a few hours notice. For once I agree with people here, and it pains me to say it. This forum is the LAST thing on anyones minds.

Yes! I was thinking of this exact incident when I made my comment about being impaled... it was used as an example in my EMT training back in the day.
To carry on this point, if a human can survive shots to the head and being impaled by a metal rod, it is plausible that zombies don't die (redied... died to the second power? Whatever) on the first or even second head shoot.

Announced? I dunno, I'm not the type to pay attention like that.

...but I do follow devs on their mediums and did get the notification that he was streaming... Didn't know it would be a q&a but it makes sense you can pry stuff out of them on occasion.

This isn't news imo. It's happenstance. I don't even know what game he was streaming, I guess 7days... I usually only see him on vr games... But sub to their various accounts, you'll get the notifications too.

 
Are we grounded by not being informed for the stream. We had info that in some time it will happen ? Maybe we deserve it, in a matter to let devs see different type of audience. But anyway, In You we trust, so keep up good work.

He streams multiple other games. Last I checked on him he was streaming Vampyr. My point was if it turned into a dev QandA with more than one dev, and sphereii was also there and involved it was an organized QandA. Notifications when someone goes live is great, but I guess it was on me to NOT check every single time he went live in the event a QandA between several noteworthy people on the team broke out.

 
Um, Sphereii is a streaming whore. Like, he loves the damn things.

I haven't watched the recording in question, but are you sure it was planned as a q&a?

 
Oh, and what other dev? If it's kinyajuu, um, they're friends in real life.

Gotta remember these are regular folks, not deities to be worshipped. Treat them like regular folks, they'll treat you like regular folks. Treat them like dieties, they will just think you're weird. =)
