I know all about birds and bees; it's humans and trees that I'm iffy....a little lower...
Need a crash course in birds and bees?

I'm more of a lurker than a poster, but I had to speak up and say I almost spit out my coffee laughing after I read this! Too funny!Where's the spot for Aldranon to plug into?
It's a real thing, humans and trees. Don't bother to look it up. Might make you throw up a little bit.I know all about birds and bees; it's humans and trees that I'm iffy.
Oh. Well it's um... Pretty much the same... Just a little rougher.I know all about birds and bees; it's humans and trees that I'm iffy.
It was not suddenly removed. I posted in this thread on 05-08-2018:Then youve misread the entire thing if you think ive been venomous. Ive simply pointed out my disappointment with TFP after Joel himself said that the multi passenger was already in the game and the jeep was intended to carry passengers. he spoke of driving with friends and the like but couldnt show us because no one was there with him at that time. so, if it was in during that video and something he intended for the jeep to be, how is it suddenly removed from the equation in the same month the alpha is supposed to drop to the test live servers.
Yes, water was probably made 50% faster.I think he means 50% of performance taken with water, not whole game performance. Faatal also mentioned that AI is consuming 25% of performance needed but AI is not whole game just small piece of game.
All I will say is that I hate getting a splinter in my finger. I can't imagine getting a splinter...elsewhere.Oh. Well it's um... Pretty much the same... Just a little rougher.
trollin, trollin trollin, faatal, you must know that there is no literal language that is strong enough to be able to overcome the imaginary "promise" that some people seem to see in every sentence a developer types. For example, in your last sentence up above you just "promised" to never release any feature with ugly bugs. That literal word "try" is invisible to them. Now, someone is going to find an ugly bug during experimental and say "The lazy devs lied!!!111111!!"
Make it up!trollin, trollin trollin, keep the lies a rollin
all yer promises broken

next verse? try it
much appreciate the clarification, so it seems it boils down to my request that madmole not broadcast statements without knowing for sure its going to be in game. hell, if he had just worded it differently it wouldnt have been an issue with getting everyone hyped. as it was i saw your post back then but madmole said it was in the game and spoke at length about riding with friends and the like. i understand priorities change, more than probably alot of folks here, and disappointment is a part of life, but alot of disappointment can be avoided by having ducks in a row. thats really all ive been asking for is dont promise what your not sure about. jeep with multipassenger capability? "we are working on a jeep that can carry passengers" not "this jeep can carry passengers, its already in the game, but i havent seen it".It was not suddenly removed. I posted in this thread on 05-08-2018:"Passengers will probably not be in A17. It is still buggy and Pathing/AI and other bug fixing is higher priority."
The code is still in there and you can get in a vehicle as a passenger, but the passenger will jitter around and not stay in his seat due to networking sync problems. Joel did not know this at the time, since I am the only one working on the feature and no one else had tried being a passenger. He was making a guess it would be ready based off my guess it would be ready. This is a team effort with many people. None of us know everything that everyone else is thinking or doing.
Priorities change and disappointment happens, but we try not to release features with obvious ugly bugs.
Troll 'em all, rawhiiiiiiiide!Make it up!Mix it round!
Take it wrong!
Spout it out!
Rawhide!
Wait so you reduced processor usage by 75% for core AI, dude they aren't paying you enough.Yes, water was probably made 50% faster.
Core AI decision making is using about 25% of the CPU it was using before.
It's not a case of lack of communication. The testing at the time showed the system to be working, upon further testing a major bug was found and so the status of the feature was changed. The current state of the system has been communicated at all times.roland, that may be true of alot of folks, however it is not the case with me, i never said the lazy devs lied, my problem is that they arent communicating between themselves properly. for joel to tell us flat out in the video that the jeeps passenger ability was in the game and it would be in a17, then expound on that topic with statements like riding around with friends and the like. these arent imaginary roland, these are in the video joel released. but im done talking about this, keep up your shield wall and acting the troll when someone has a valid concern that is direct opposition to the devs are perfect mindset. you will see in my last response to faatal how much i appreciate the good work theyve been doing. peace out.
Of course, there also is the problem of those times when a feature seems to work, but after the addition of further systems and testing, it turns out not to work. Things change.for joel to tell us flat out in the video that the jeeps passenger ability was in the game and it would be in a17, then expound on that topic with statements like riding around with friends and the like. these arent imaginary roland, these are in the video joel released. but im done talking about this, keep up your shield wall and acting the troll when someone has a valid concern that is direct opposition to the devs are perfect mindset. you will see in my last response to faatal how much i appreciate the good work theyve been doing. peace out.
I've learned on forums that if a generic comment doesn't apply to you, then don't take it to be about you.roland, that may be true of alot of folks, however it is not the case with me, i never said the lazy devs lied, my problem is that they arent communicating between themselves properly.
