i know people want alpha 17 right now but a good game needs time it's like wine
wine has to mature to get better and better so if TFP giving the game more time it will taste even better ;D
but if it sits around aging to long it turns to vinegar/goes bad. :p

For MP servers would be nice if every character has own 7 days horde counter. If on server are 10 peoples online 7 days horde is pretty weak because 60 zombies are divided acros 10 players. If player join server on day 3 his horde night would be at day 10/17/24/31... For SP would be without change because they start on day 1.
So nobody agreed with me? Probably everyone here like only SP. :)

Question for clarification: Does the new pathing system include the proposed "breadcrumbing"? I ask because it seems like distant entrances still would work in A17. Put my base out of range of zombie sensing on the surface, dig horizontally a good ways, then ladder up to the top. It would be much better to be running down that long hallway and see zeds coming at me because they followed my scent to the hatch, came down the ladder, and headed down my tunnel.

Each player in a MP game gets his own batch of zombies. But at the moment TFP supports and balances the game for 8 players max. Above that you might have to play with the game settings.

You probably need to increase the "MaxAlive" setting in the serverconfig file and pray that your server/clients and internet connection is good enough to handle it.

Quick question, I believe I've heard MadMole say that adding third person view would be considered once better player animations were in place so, since mo-cap player animations are now in, is third person view also in for A17? If not, is it even under consideration at this time?

(I've actually gotten used to the first person view for 7DTD myself but, I know a few people who refuse to play any game in first person)

We still lack a ton of animations like climbing ladders, swimming..

It's a thing. If you were paying attention you would have a batman themed avatar too...
Roland said if you were paying attention....Batman theme....something most people missed.....

Zip lines re-confirmed for a17!

I guess Chuck Norris can. And he wouldn't need gas for it.
Chuck Norris appearance in a17 confirmed!

If you don't see any Z's fora bit, Chuck must be nearby!

If Chuck Norris and Batman enter a room, who walks out alive?

Neither. They're using Zip lines.

I wanna watch yet I don't as its going to spoil that first experence with A17-e, IMO they should release it to streamers/the public at the same time, we have had to wai tlong enough heh.
If they did release to streamers and public at same time, you still wouldn't get it any quicker. They are not going to release an experimental version on a Friday so what is the harm in letting the streamers play with it over the weekend and you still get it Monday or Tuesday. You don't HAVE to watch the streamers and it's not delaying your access so I don't see any reason to be against TFP advertising their game the way they want to.

this is crazy, 5 years of development and no swimming and ladders animations (basically the most basic stuff)
Is it the most basic of stuff? Or is it so basic that maybe the dev's are not concerned about some animations that doesn't affect the game play and are more concerned about getting in things that actually do affect the game play atm.

Everyone has their own list of what should be prioritized and be considered fundamental or critical for the game. I couldn’t care less about those two things until other things I deem more important get fixed. However, only the dev’s list of priorities matters.

I can understand your thinking, but it depends on what kind of information you think your character should have.
The "lore" I use is: My character, has a limited immunity to the zombie virus. That's why I need antibiotics and not antivirals when infected....
That really isn't how anitbiotics/antivirals work. Just because you have a limited immunity to a virus doesn't mean antibiotics would do a thing. Unless your "limited immunity" was that your body completely breaks down the virus and turns the left over stuff into some kind of bacteria I guess. :twitch:

Maybe you are immune to the zambie virus but the infections you get are caused instead by simply coming in contact with a rotting corpse, ignoring the fact that it was a zambie. Wounds inflicted by said corpses carry with them a high chance of bacterial infection, hence the antibiotics.
