I started programming using Basic on a Commodore Pet in 1981. :)

I started with a Commodore VIC20 in... 1984 I think... maybe 1983. Been a long time in any event.

Didn't notice until many years later that Microsoft had their name on the basic of the C64 (and VIC20 I assume, but can't remember).

Funny, had a VIC20 too.

The Pet was owned by my high school, so I bought a Sinclair ZX81 and ruined the keyboard after a few months in an attempt at putting it in a metal case with a rewired terminal keyboard. I then bought a VIC20. Later a C64, Amiga 1000, Amiga 2000.

I was a CoCo man back then, I think we were suppose to be enemies for some reason. I have no idea why. Maybe it's similar to PC/Console war now....which I don't get either.

 
@faatal,

(trying again while you're around). With the new AI, will Zombies and animals fighting do as they currently do when the player gets in notice range (i.e. suddenly stop fighting to focus on the player instead of continuing their fight with the most immediate threats)?

That just annoys me since you have to watch those fights from a distance (scoped). I want Bear versus Zombie arena fights with ringside seating not from 2 blocks away. :)

I know, but I found short and sweet = funny. At least when I tell them.

If I make em long, its usually a series of short and sweets. Or an attempt anyway. :)

 
Roland, what do you know about traders?

Will there be new traders in the game?

Will traders have specialization?

Will each trader specialize in a certain type of goods?

Will there be a new trader base as was shown in Joel's video in the concepts?

 
CoCo II here, but that was after a Tandy MC-10.

I think my first may have been the CoCo II also and then I upgraded a few times until the 128 then to the Tandy 1000.

I still recall the nightmare of having to adjust the heads on tape recorder for each program I loaded until I came up with cash for a floppy drive. Which I then mutilated my disks by putting in the hole so I could record on the other side :D

IIRC I have a CoCo up in the attic somewhere and probably a box of cassettes
