Re: people who are saying I don't understand early access

I mean all I have to say about that is frequency of the updates, if we were truly testing these features then we would be getting monthly updates, imho the features we get have been tested and are ready for public consumption.

Just my opinion anyway the tfp will have their own as will all of you, I just like opening up new channels of discussion that could see change if its needed.

I'd have to agree with this a bit. From an Early Access perspective and from a TFP perspective, seems like we've lost a whole lot of valuable test time from an Early Access Strategy perspective. Thought I respect and admire TFP for digging in deep and making the changes they're working on now, before going Beta... Seems like maaaaybe there should have been a core framework update prior to a lot of the new art and vehicles being done. At least that way they could have tested the new and improved framework components to see how they really handle in the real world. Still love ya guys, just... yeah... Seems like you're losing Early Access perks with this release being worked on.

Yet again you don't understand EA. How do you release a playable test version to the public when you just broke the entire code base down to almost bedrock and rebuilt it on a new version of Unity? There are no playable steps in between starting and finishing that task.

In A16 we had very few dials to turn to balance weapons differently. This has changed radically.
How many of those dials go to 11?

Radical Weapons: CONFIRMED FOR A17!!!

-Fully automatic Rocket launcher with 30 round clips! There should be a beer cooler attachment, its gets HOT firing rockets all day!

This game will never be realistic as long as we have any technologies beyond wooden spikes and maybe baking bricks lmao

Just gotta let the guns do less damage to zombies without getting all technical about it

I mean the fact that we can just make our own forge and melt sand into glass is so far beyond reality, not to mention forging bullets and all that. There has to be some suspension of disbelief to make for good gameplay.

That and not getting too serious about the game helps in having fun.

My character never: poops, pees, sleeps. He can carry 20 metric tons of stuff and he heals faster than a lizard.

I'm good with all that.

... and even if he dies, he will come back to life like a phoenix. :smile-new:

I feel like to some degree its not EA that is being misunderstood but coding. just imagine playing the game while stuff is being ripped out. Maybe every time the game loads a zombie the whole game crashes because of some detail in the AI. or Every time you try to shoot a gun with an attachment the whole game crashes. I guess what I'm getting at is that EA is more for those tiny bugs that only hundreds of different players playing can find. things like maybe when you fire a Ak-47 with a silencer while the fat lady zombie hits you from behind the gun disappears visually but still works. These kinds of bugs can only be found once you can play the game for longer than 30min without a crash.

If I'm interpreting you correctly.....

For those who felt I was trying to stifle conversation, I sincerely apologize. Discuss to your hearts content AND be assured that TFP is aware of the points you've brought up either because A) they are obvious, B) the work isn't finished, or C) thanks to your feedback

(Pick whichever scenario brings you the most joy.)
Careful Rolland with posts like that you may get HR job offers :)

There it is.

I obviously didn't read that carefully! This will make every zombie type not only unique and interesting, but the players targeting choices will require some thought if they make an asymmetrical base.

Edit: So the only smart way to focus all your turrets on one side IMHO (I could be wrong), is to build into the side of a mountain at ground level, like some NORAD thing.

It could be interesting!

Hehe, it was either my good-natured twin brother, or my other identity ^^
But alright, alright.

Ahum.

It's been almost 12 months since A16 experimental was released and it's been more than a month since we received a video!!
Nice try.....But let's try it again with more snark. :)

Is this 100% sure? I am a little worried because electricity has not been mentioned since A16 release and I am the biggest fan of electricity! Seriously, it is the single most promising feature of the game IMO (I know, many wont agree). The whole aspect of tower defense is related to electricity.
Similarly, when traders made it into the game, they were billed as traders 1.0 that would be overhauled later, yet said overhaul hasn’t been mentioned since.

Most people wanted a vehicle to carry at least 2 players, this is why they where excited for the jeep. Putting the jeep in A17 without the capability of carrying 2 players is pointless, I don't think people are excited about the 'jeep' per say, just allowing to carry another player is what they want ( or at least 99% of people who i know agree ). The minibike with a extra seat would have been fine for many, the jeep, meh...
I agree that the Jeep should have a significant gameplay distinction from other vehicles. Passengers would be a fine choice, but it’s not the only one.

Veteran players will recall when Duke’s casino tokens were added to loot before we had traders or vending machines to make them usable as currency. But the developers found a way to make them work in the game as it existed at that time, making them scrappable to brass as I recall. There will no doubt be a ‘make this snapshot work cohesively’ step shortly before A17 releases, too.

They allready hired more. But its like making a baby. 1 man can produce one every 9 months. But that doesnt mean 9 men can produce one in 1 month ;)
Cheers
Okay, somebody has to point out... that’s either a very loose definition of “produce,” or an even looser definition of “man.” :preggers:

P.S. I knew what to type to get that emoticon without having to look it up... I’ve officially spent too much time on this forum.

One of my favorite builds. Took so much digging though.

I wouldn't say it hasn't been mentioned.

[*]Player(Bandit) Motion Captured Animation

+Separate male and female movement styles

+Players now look up and down and always appear to be breathing

+Combat movements including power moves 2/21/18
The overhaul was to include animations and AI. All of the player 3rd person animations are also for the bandit animations so there actually has been some bandit overhaul progress.

33% REMAINING UNTIL A17 RELEASE!
That's 3% in 6 days, giving a projection of July 21!!!

Not subtracting any "buffering" of the release date, we now have:

Earliest release date: July 21 (66 days left)

Latest release date: September 6 (113 days left)

We have one foot in the "Two digit midget" range!
