You need a new DM. Preferably one that is capable of running a game without reading every detail and event directly out of the book. If the scenario book distracts you to the point of not being able to stray from what's on the page, you may want to try developing your own adventure and being flexible enough to accommodate the players being random.P: "I go down the steps to level 3 now"
DM: "Wait, let me read the relevant passage in the scenario book. .... Ah, you see a dark foreboding shadow of darkness in a dark hall..."
P: "Really, how do I see that in the dark?"
DM: "I don't know. Let me get to the end of the description. maybe it is explained further on."
P: "Oh, and while I look i will cut my toe nails because I'm bored now"
DM: "Ok, whatever... Where was I? ... in a dark hall..."
I think we can agree: the important thing is it was dark.---------P: "I go down the steps to level 3 now"

But, while reality might have some surprises, ideally you are absolutely correct. I concede the point and blame Unholy Joe for not writing "computer game" and TFP, because I can.
This could be fun- a little puzzle solving along with the path finding. You find gas in one room. A generator in another, which when filled with gas and turned on powers the building. Possibly a room with a door and walls with ridiculous hit points so you can’t break in easily but need the generator on to open it. Dart traps, blade traps, turrets, all used against the player. I definitely see some potential here.Hey, I saw we will get some new dugeons, i am thinking about why we dont have tecnologics dugeons with eletricity and a safe zone thats dont let the players broken something and need things like gas to turn on the eletricity and open a door or something like, And a final boss in the loot.
I'm not trying to impose my own playstyle here. I'm just voicing an opinion. Once you "safezone landclaim" even one POI to force players to follow the designed path instead of letting them break and place voxels as they desire it opens up a big can of "Now this game is like every other static environment game on the market".Hey, I saw we will get some new dugeons, i am thinking about why we dont have tecnologics dugeons with eletricity and a safe zone thats dont let the players broken something and need things like gas to turn on the eletricity and open a door or something like, And a final boss in the loot.
Its a sugestion, and a thing that i would like to explore in the game, Thanks for the great work TFP.
Thanks Roland. My biggest concern with Bandits is guns. I hope that most have hand weapons only. Right now facing a group of bandits with guns would be O.P.
Even one bandit with a gun would be very challenging for players still in the first few days in the game.
Bandits could only appear in later stages. Bandits could shoot like Elmar Fudd at first. Bandits could be slow and near-sighted at first. Or bandits could be made challenging hurdles for the starting game like dogs, wolfes and bears are.

All well and good. Just as long as TFP's put in the balance before the new Alpha hits.
Good thing we will have a HUGE red HP bar to let us know how to handle a situation like this.Maybe the boss takes 1000 damage on the first hit if you catch it sleeping.
Or it enrages if you wake it up early and it keeps getting stronger while it's pounding it's way towards you.
Or... lemme think...![]()
Kinda adds new meaning to seeing red?Good thing we will have a HUGE red HP bar to let us know how to handle a situation like this.
Theres no reason we cant have alittle bit of both. I do agree there should be multiple ways to approach said dungeon.I'm not trying to impose my own playstyle here. I'm just voicing an opinion. I believe they should be looking for ways to unclaim the Traitor Joels and not ever landclaim any POI against players. Let players jump on the hamster wheel if they want or just demolition their way through...whatever tickles their fancy. There will always be those who will want to hunt the key down to open the door but leave the option to just break the door or go through the wall next to it. Maybe the boss will be a sleeper if you use the key and be feral if you bust through but do things like that instead of giving blocks a million hp or landclaiming them against destruction or placing at all.
Ouch. Nice burn. =)Good thing we will have a HUGE red HP bar to let us know how to handle a situation like this.
I kinda liked the dungeon approach, but I didn't like that the streamers instantly showed us how to get through it, before we had access to it. My fault for watching, I guess.Theres no reason we cant have alittle bit of both. I do agree there should be multiple ways to approach said dungeon.
You guys are always asking for more difficulty.Good thing we will have a HUGE red HP bar to let us know how to handle a situation like this.
