Well it is qite possible that i am just stupid, but when i look to the top (or the first page of this discussion) all i see is "Release : Not in February" or in case of the first page the changelog and links to different announcement/videos about features in A17 (or later updates as the Gyrocopter).
I hoped to get it a little more precise, since "not Februrary" would actually be a long time period... from March 1st to Dezember 2030 would all be "not February" ;P.

But may i ask what you mean by "others will attack most likly"? attack who and what? and why?
Well, this year (99% sure). Before the end of August 90% sure. Then after that, I would minus about 20% points for each earlier month. That's probably as good as anyone can tell you.

very well, thank you most kindly for the anwser. I hoped it would be estimated sooner but then again, better than nothing :)

 
Electricity has a limited distance between connections with the wire tool...so use the same distance for the ziplines or increase it slightly to a distance that works and make sense. You need several runs off a mountain ..not just one super long one that would screw up the loading of graphics. Who would have a cable that long anyways. Off a skyscraper...go to next lowest building rooftop....rinse ...repeat.

This would be more fun and make more sense than falling all the way down onto hay bales.

Personally I could care less for any of these....but ziplines are more practical than a helicopter in a post apocalyptic world.

I would rather have resources put into wind turbines/windmills, water mills, more block types, gear boxes, etc..maybe make a differential block /gear box that is taken from dismantling a car....stuff that could actually be a possibility for survival. Most cars would be knocked out...all electronics for that matter.. from EMP bursts or something that the government would of tried to stop the infection from spreading.

The survival aspect is slowly getting erased in this game with vehicles, especially with the gyrocopter.

A good way to balance the copter imo is to limit how high it can fly as well as increase its gas consumption x4 a car.

Agreed Laz....they need to do something to limit it...absolutely!

Never liked the gyrocopter in Mad Maxx either..."too much of a reach." IMHO

Easy targeting with rocket launcher would have to be implemented ...especially with ....if ...bandits ever become a reality.

Gas is another issue to be adjusted as well....100s of gas cans are a bit much to fill the auger.

I would enjoy the game more....being a survival game......not an avoidance game.

Agreed. Thats why we need new AI, Bandits, and underground threats. A17 so far has none of this but hey...there can be more colors of toilets so its all good right?

how about a lootable item along the lines of a treasure map except its a town map or a tourist brochure that fills in a section of the map.(special poi)or a geology text book that is soooo boring it puts you in a coma - i mean shows mineral deposits on the map.

just a thought.

could be quest initiators or rewards...

Ragdolling and fading out the screen is actually doable with a buff now and you can trigger that on reading a book. =)

Cant say im a modder. To my unrefined eye it looks like u can use the extend property on items now, sort of how the zombies use it, in order to get more variaions of the same thing..or built off the same thing. If im wrong and it actually means new AI, bandits, and underground threats are in A17 I will never be so happy to have been wrong.

No id numbers. Which means more modding opportunities and less mod incompatibilities.

Bandits and new ai are still coming.

 
Love the game and have 1100hrs into it. Was curious if the new engine will be able to extend the rendering distance of objects in the game? Specifically for spawning entities, would be nice to be able to use the max range of the sniper.

Is there not an audio cue, or something that warns of incoming dog/bear hordes. I remember seeing somewhere that there should be or is, but I have never experienced it in game. I just got wrecked by a 3 bear/9 dog horde on day 9, turned left to witness a bear paw cutting short my dead is dead run.

On a creepy side note: How come there are zero zombified kids in the game? There is a daycare.......

I think it would be cool to have a very Rare Endgame Weapon. Maybe buyable for a Hundredthousand of Duke Tokens, maybe findable with Luck at one at the new Mini-Bosses.

To not make it too Powerful: Lets make it One-Time usable, not reloadable with varying Amount of Ammo you can find in the Clip. Damage could be comparable to the Pistole per Bullet.

What do you think?

Stripper zombies with boobies okay. Headshots with gore okay. Dismemberment fine. Armor contouring to boobs just right. Traders cursing you is a-okay.

...but the realism of having kids? I guess too much.

Its a kin to shooting children in tv shows. The only tv show to do this from recent memory was TWD, which coincidently was a zombie child.

So is there any ai changes in a17 I hope so. That in my opinion is what should have been the main focus. Bc that really hurt the game in a16 imo.

 
Back to the important topic of immersion.

Would be great to a mode where there is no compass or a compass has to be found.

Would be great if there was hardcore mode where there is no overhead map(shocking!)

Or/AND a map where the player posistion is not auto GPS.

Would be great if there was enforced dead is dead.

Would be great if f1-cm and f1-dm could be disabled on game start.

Mostly would be great if there was no enemy HP bar.

Have said this before on this thread but it seems people are complaining again about it.

Why not just make the health bar a toggled option. People who want it can have it, people who hate it can disable it
