No. It means you will drown and your Jeep will be stuck down there unless you can back it out little by little for as long as you can hold your breath.
The purpose is not to drive across rivers. It is so that if you accidentally drive into water you can back it out rather than having to disassemble it.

It is inadvisable to purposefully drive your Jeep into a lake even if you are Michael Scott and you are following the directions of your gps device.

Will it work with other transport? Can we ride under water on a motorcycle, minibike and bicycle.

And what is the situation with the gyrocopter when it enters the water? Gyrocopter can fly underwater or simply be destroyed (destruction is logical)?

I should have said the purpose is not so that you can cross lakes as it does quite well crossing rivers that aren’t too wide. The other vehicles will be the same. The gyrocopter isn’t implemented yet so I have no idea.

So, how far underwater can the gyro-copter go? Those propellers should be able to pull the jeep out, that went in to get the mini bike out. It will happen... a lot.

 
Melee weapons- Under the new system would love to see the existing (blunt) weapons replaced by a wooden/iron/steel + mods combo.

ie. Spiked club is gone, but now you could craft/find a wooden club + a spike mod.

To make it interesting you would want at least 2 mod slots I guess, and the mods should have pros and cons-

eg Spiky/knobbly/bladey mods could introduce on hit effects ( bleeding, crit chance, dismemberment chance etc), whilst heavy mods (wrap a bit of scrap lead around the end) might increase damage & knockback at the cost of attackspeed and stamina drain.

Tons of combinations beyond that of course. Maybe this is already the system envisaged? Thoughts?

Maybe a two-handed club would have two mods and a one-hand club one mod? Which says shield in the other hand? With one mod too?

I just had a vision of me running out of gas in the air. Auto rotating down with alarms going off...into an awaiting horde. :) yes please.

I was just thinking of what gas mileage the thing will get...it could just be an air version of the minibike for horde night...fly around until daylight, dragging the zombies away from your base (possible towards someone elses :D )

 
so as faatal is having fun making gyrocopter, is it actually going into a17 or hes just showoff what he can do? im hoping its going to be left in the code so people can mod it in same as bandits

I suspect it is going to be for the upper crop of society. Us poor will be on the ground fighting off hordes of zombies with wooden clubs while the elite fly over us sipping their champagne, eating their caviar and playing poker with their piles of dukes (this is in their luxury blimps of course...would be so much harder to do on a gyrocopter....)

 
Well you would still be crafting them so the scrounging and cobbling together would still be happening. It’s just that it would take place in a workstation. I think they should come up with a new workstation, The Shop, where you craft vehicles and they do pop into existence within the shop once the craft timer completes. That way whole vehicles are never being carried around in the player inventory.
Also, it would mean that the assembly interface could then be used for mods to enhance different aspects of the vehicles.

Do you think we will be able to repair the transport with repair kits manually, or do we need a technical station for repairs?

It would be nice if, with the help of a repair kit, we could repair transport only by 35% -65% of health (can be changed by perks and skills), and for a complete repair, a technical station would be required.

Hey, I want to tell you, that the Pinky Extended Society of Navezgane has gone to great troubles, making an Airship for the little people, you people bailing out our toilets, sweating under the sun, growing our crops. Airships are for you! To look at! You can look all you want, as long as you get all your little jobs we require of you. Or... you must be shot, sorry. We don't make the rules, we... oh wait... never mind, get back to work!

 
I hope underwater vehicle travel <shudder> is at least going to be slow as hell.
