Airships in general, regardless of whether they're blimps or have a rigid structure, have a terrible safety record. They just seem to attract accidents. :-)

"When I first came here, this was all swamp. Everyone said I was daft to build a castle on a swamp, but I built it all the same, just to show them. It sank into the swamp. So I built a second one. And that one sank into the swamp. So I built a third. That burned down, fell over, and then sank into the swamp. But the fourth one stayed up. And that’s what you’re going to get, Son, the strongest castle in all of England."

- King of Swamp Castle - Monty Python and the Holy Grail
If you think that's crazy. You should look up NASA's first attempts to get a working rocket. Deke Slayton once commented that he did not have to keep a close eye on them. He could hear them from the next state (blowing up).

damn... almost as bad as the winged gliding skydiving suit (look up in the sky... its a squirrel)... i did jump from a plane at 3500 feet in civilian life just for the sake of saying i did it.. that was a real parachute and for 5 seconds was damn scary so i definitely wouldnt put on the suit.

Their latest attempts have been pretty bad as well. The last one blew up at the end of July 2017 in California.

7400 and counting

Yeah but some people like broken outdated concepts because of nostalgia or something. F.E., Sharp sticks, broken menus. I imagine some will even complain when they see the new pathing algorithm. OMG these zombies aren't getting stuck on stuff, fix it!!! We like the ones that spin circles and can't reach the player 90% of the time.
It's been a long road always up hill but the new Alpha Builds are never disappointing!

yes it has and is still.

we have seen lots of new stuff and we have seen old favorites bite the dust.

old habits are hard to break for some of us i guess but is all for the better and new people just getting the game most like will not know the difference unless they are misguided.

so i too am always awaiting new features and hoping for the best. :)

The jet-powered wing-suit is one of the few modes of aerial transportation without a single fatality. This is mainly due to the fact that only a handful of people have been b̶r̶a̶v̶e̶ stupid enough to try it. Perfect for those quick escapes from the top of a skyscraper :-)

"It said that before being allowed to jetpack-fly in Britain, he had to get himself registered as an aeroplane, because parts of his body, rather than parts of his jetpack, acted as control surfaces; but he was exempted from the seat-belt rule."

Yves Rossy's wiki entry
Combine this and a rpg you then got yourself a jet fighter

Pagan woodland creatures are the ones without organised belief systems.
I'm certain that this is no entity property so someone seems to be bringing his personal baggage into the game.

Maybe he's suggesting that we should eat more pagans? We'll probably never find out. Nor should we try to.

I may have been reading too much into the game designers' intent, but it seemed like the forest creatures, particularly the rabbits, were so disillusioned by the apocalypse, they turned away from the organized religions in favor of the old gods.

Seriously though, has there been any mention of changing up the look of some of the existing zeds *(clothing, skin tone)? or adding some? or plants/animals? Thanks

I was wondering if it would be possible for the devs to implement a walk speed range for zombies so we dont have to create duplicate zombies with various walk speeds in order to mix it up. Something to think about anyways.

The following are just my thoughts on why an Airship could be important to very late game, the games ending and progression into a part2:

Part2 might have extensive travel/adventures. Radiation zones could be 100's of miles across, you might miss a river or a settlement if you are driving and struggle with impassable terrain. Small planes don't have the range.

The whole process of getting the large amount of resources to make one including finding the plans for one would take the last 1-3 weeks of the game and escape with one other NPC before some disaster happens (for a good climactic end). :)

Part 2 might have many maps that need to be explored and an airship would have the endurance.

That should already work either with an ability or buff.

EDit: Also, with an airship TFP's have a near infinite number of places you could end up! No other vehicle could give them a seamless story line like that! A two week hurricane or some malfunction.

Oops

A radiation suit that lets you travel across the map border into a "new map" would do that.

You could bring one vehicle of your choice with you.

No it wont work using buff or an ability unless for A 17 there is a way to make an ability or buff be randomly applied to a zombie when they spawn in.

Otherwise if you spawn in a biker for eg all bikers will have the same buff or ability applied.

You could make the buff or ability vary over time going up or down but that is not what I am talking about with having a variable walk speed range.

What I am suggesting is that when the first biker is spawned in he gets a permanent walk speed within a set range and the next biker would get a different permanent walk speed within that same set range.

Basically a random walk speed, and throw in a walk type while you're at it. Sphereii already has an SDX mod for this, but it'd be nice to do it from XML.

that would be pretty interesting, and i would have more of a reason to make loot never respawn
