Eyeball is definitely stealth related, and if Joel didn't want constructive comments he wouldn't have posted the video. =)
...as far as ragdolling zombies, my daughter watched the video with me and said "Dad, I want to start playing 7 days to die again."

So that's a win. =)
Guess we have someone else who likes ragdolling zombies XD. One thing I like doing in current A16 is killing zombies with mines necause they FLLY, its even more fun when its a running zombie, then they get launched like a jump-pad.

The stealth eye is intersting, I am going to assume it'll reflect light changes and such too. Like in A16 you can crouch and move around in a very dark room and the zombies won't find you.

 
Nice jeep, can't wait to try it out. I wonder what landmines do it, will they allow the jeep to "fly" across ravines?

Did anyone else notice the new-ish terrain and a bridge in the background?

Oooh yeah, wonder how far it would go. Also, I think he is in Navezgane where there are bridges! Yes, bridges!

 
Just managed to watch the video,the collision with small objects is freaking hilarious. Hope it is removed in the final version of Alpha 17,else there won't be much point to the jeep.

On thing that I don't care for is the new intro screen. It seems to mechanical looking. I like the one we have now better.

It one in the video just seems to have lost that survival feel to it, you know what I mean?

The rest of the stuff looked great so far.

10 bucks says that eye on the UI is to monitor your rest/tiredness.

The how visible you are to zombies, is that a percent chance you will be spotted?

I hope the jeep is part of a mission or found in some area on the map that is infested with radiated zombies (because of the still running nuclear power plant! Don't forget the need for a good rad suit because there is a partial breach in the reactor!).

So, are we going to have a hard or soft top? 10 degrees cooler in desert when on? 10 degrees warmer in snow when on? Reverse for off? It would add so much fun to keep switching when changing biomes...)

Will we find it in parts? Can we build? If we build - can it get flats running over cacti or sharp objects so that we have to fix the flats?

Will we be able to add electrical to it? Looking forward to adding the chopper blades to the front. (of course no passengers anymore for using space for batteries...)

I didn't see a trailer hitch. Um - how am I gonna hook up my trailer for unlimited carrying capacity and the 32 people on my server? (and imagine rag-doll physics for rolling the jeep and the trailer - with people in them!) Maybe a perk for trailering?

AND, let's not forget, since this is a REALISM game, when we have vehicles on multiplayer, pit maneuvers better work correctly. (no long car chases!)

Getting a little tired. While I love the color of my own voice, I need to go to bed. I'll add the 47 other things I hope/KNOW you guys are fixing/adding later. (I save em up so I don't have to follow the threads all the time. Or I do - and I just know so many things that would make the game even greater!)

A17 is going to 'suck' (time). I started on A15. (Thank goodness). 2500 hours. Prolly have ~5000 before gold... (for $20. Not including alimony or child support...)

can the jeep sideswipe? MM almost sideswiped the nurse....

what is the storage on the jeep? you didnt show us how much storage it has... enquiring minds need to know.....

someone mentioned a trailer hitch... possibilites.....mobile loot base.. storage crates and a workbench in the trailer...

 
Thanks for the video. My small break-down of the presented items:

New menu; it's okay. Was it necessary though?

Jeep: looks awesome man! I'm happy to see the physics are looking good. Collisions are not such a major thing, and the vehicle does not stop at every stone :) The sounds are a bit.. over the top I think. It sound like a race-car. Breaking down a garage door is nice!

Visibility meter on the HUD: awesome, if it works!

What about bandits?

 
The jeep looks awesome! The eye is for stealth, how much of the world you are visible in. Away from the jeep with no cover it is 100 and standing beside the jeep (side of a house, inside a building) you might be 50, only half the world can see you.

That is my guess.

Build an altar to Mecahnus and make sure you keep the sacrificial fires burning.Sacrifice mechanical and car parts to receive Parts Of The Sacred Jeep.

Use these parts in the ritual of Ah'Sem Bel and liberally bless the contraption with the holy gas.

But that's just preliminary...

I hope the Ritual of Ah'Sem Bel requires a Staff of Rensh, Tappen Die, a bag of hammers and an ear of Roland, and not just a level two Spell of Button Push to build the Sacred Jeep. This needs to be a project of apocalyptic accomplishment.

Jeep is awesome, as to the debries on the road it was not so bad, it is apocalypce, all is blown up and in pieces, noone is there to clean the roads. It is not a glider of some sort,it is a land vehicle, so it will have to face the reality of human stupidity in the Future. Can`t wait to see what sort of mods eventually jeep could get.

As for the collision issues, is it because the things he's hitting have just a cube as the collision area? Maybe if the collision shape was changed to a smoother sort of item, the vehicle would hit it more appropriately?

Also, if you can hit z'd and they go flying, why not be able to hit cactii this way, too?

I'm 99% certain they're using block colliders on the smaller items.
