Nice new menu, but what is the "My Account" for?

I am loving that Jeep, sounds awesome. Thank you x1000 for getting the passenger seat ready on it. A few questions tho.

-Can the Jeep tip over all the way on it's top, and if so can you turn it up right?

-What happens if you get stuck in that hole or in water? Can you take the jeep apart and rebuild it like the minibike now?

-Are you guys still thinking about an attachment and/or paint system to the Jeep and other vehicles?

-How much grain alcohol can one consume and still be safe to drive Jeep and pass a zombie cop checkpoint?

Traffic laws are really lax these days. You could blow a 5.0 and they'll just let you off with a bite mark.

I'd rather have that than what I went thru a few years ago. LOL Plus a BAC of 5.0 will disinfect anything in your body including you so win/win.

 
Jeep looks amazing! Looks like its going to be really fun to drive.

I hope the collision on road objects gets looked at though... It got a bit like bumper cars at times.

 
Please let the Jeep ignore blocks like trash and other small stuff. The mega jump it does when riding on those blocks is a bit un-immersive.

Can materials.xml be edited so that they are more susceptible to vehicle damage, but remain the same against other attacks?

 
Nice video! I'm glad to hear that the jeep will support passengers. I play with my stepdaughter a lot, and she has a hard time keeping up. It will be great to be able to give her a lift into town when we go on loot runs!

 
Great progress on vehicles MM! Thanks for sharing, exciting times ahead for sure! Any chance for tuck/roll animation when exiting the vehicles at high speed? :p

 
This jeep looks awesome, I do hope though that was a low quality engine because that seemed kinda... slow for a car Then again as you said your still tweaking it right now. Can't wait to see what the other stuff you mentioned was.

 
I'm going to be strict for the next few pages to keep things on topic. Please do not ask for release dates. They will not be given. However, you may guess at a release month for A17 here. The poll closes January 31st so if you want to be able to say "I told you so" with proof you only have a smidge more than a week to make your guess.

Speaking of "I told you so"...what'd I say about that Jeep HP bar..... :upset:

For the vehicle collision I would vote to just either remove it from the streets or move it to the side of the street if that is possible. I think hitting a pile of bricks would stop you and maybe launch you car a little IRL. I'm not gonna test that but I think the streets should be mostly clear of debris to make them a reasonable path to drive. And if you want to take a short cut you risk slamming into stuff more often.

 
Love the update, and the general purpose vehicle looks amazing!

Side note, as just a head's-up though, try to not use the word/spelling "Jeep" (capital "J") as Fiat Chrysler Automobiles owns that copyright/trademark and they randomly decide to enforce it at various times. Zazzle got hit with sweeping take downs in early 2016 for example, related to any design with the word "Jeep", or that used even a slightly familiar "jeep" looking vehicle.

Really looking forward to the next release!

Since it's a voxel game and things like bricks, tires and driftwood can't "move" persay, then the logical option is to have them extra vulnerable to vehicular attack. Same with buildings. That garage door should have busted up in one shot, and I'm not buying the "I need more room" statement, because it was pretty clear only one panel at a time was being busted, so that's something else that needs to be fixed. Make the vehicle have a ray cast preceding it with a spread.

/faking it with words he's picked up since 1971

A mutiple ray cast maybe with more appearing based on current speed?

I also wonder, didn't; they say A17 will use opengl or dx11? probally user chooseable? how is the performance in Dx11? I know its very early so I don't expect it to be godly but how is it really?

All I know is I am going to have aloooot of fun ragdolling zombies with vechicles, I don't care if it doesn't hurt them, I just find it halarious some of the ways they fly thru the air. In the video the time he ragdolled one against a wall and it just flew, i'd have been laughing my arse off irl if that was me driving.

i think it looks awesome and cant wait to have a go. would really like to know if inventory is nice and big. any chance of a trailer??

what about guesses for the eyeball? I'm thinking stealth related...

ps if people like ragdoll antics, check out goat simulator. the most pointlessly funny game i have seen to date

Eyeball is definitely stealth related, and if Joel didn't want constructive comments he wouldn't have posted the video. =)

...as far as ragdolling zombies, my daughter watched the video with me and said "Dad, I want to start playing 7 days to die again."

So that's a win. =)
