I posted around a week ago asking a question that may have been over look. In the last Video made it shows zombie health bars indication you know how many hits it will take to tear that foe down. Personally I like more the fear of not knowing. The mystery if that zombie is going to get back up after being gunned down. Plus when you have a raid night and zombies are running crazy all over, would that just make it difficult to try and target on one zombie and shoot them down till their health is gone? Or wouldn't all those health bars flashing back and forth cause a bit of strain on your system. I just think for the thrill of the game, its more exciting to shoot down a zombie... Think they are dead and be shocked when they actually start getting back up. I just feel that's the way it should be. Maybe I'm a minority in this idea, but how much effort would it at least take to add something in the config files to disable zombie health bars?
I believe they are just there for test purposes.

Cheers

Ah, yeah. Lan game is different. I didn't really think of that. Would be a useful feature.
I think in A17 you can pause a MP game when only one player is on so that command may continue to run. Something to test when it comes out.
you can pause single player now with the escape key, but it stops all activity. and cant do that yet for a16 in mp with 1 person, so in a17, we can hope. but don't think it will be that way. think pause will still pause all background calculations

Log in as admin, enable god mode.

Set the system away doing its map generation.

Return when it has finished to reset the gamestage and day back to 1.

Everyone logs in as players and the fun commences.

That should be a per-generated map and a fresh world.

As a bonus there might just be a cluster of loot crates in the area you were standing when the map was generated.

Look at that EXP bar go! If it wasn't obvious, I am VERY excited about A17. All of the videos and information just keep digging the hook deeper and deeper in to my lip. I keep playing 7DtD A16 and have been talking to myself while playing saying things like, "OH YEAH, CHEERLEADER! WAIT UNTIL I RUN YOU OVER WITH MY JEEP!!" The wording tends to be a bit more colorful, but I am trying to be sensitive to "sensitive" readers.Keep up the good work, Pimps!!! Really looking forward to A17!!!
Yes, we are nearing ever closer to being able to enjoy Alpha 17.

There is no approximate date to try this alpha?
The Fun Pimps don't really do set dates of release. They tend to operate on a "when it's done basis".

They're going to kill me with nerves.
If it does kill you, then I guess you can be a zombie for A17.

Wait. We can be zombie's in Alpha 17???

Players playing as zombies confirmed!

Thanks man ;)

Will it be easier to find traders in the next Alpha?
My biggest issue with finding them is the damn fog, why the hell was my game a foggy mess with the last 15 out of 18 days the game went on. That crap needs to be toned down because its annoying as hell. Literally my last game I played for 15 days it was foggy out, was only 3 clear days. Was a trader nearby I walked passed many times because of the fog. Couldn't see it at all. Found it on day 18 when it was finally clear out.

I don't have that problem as much because I move around a lot. Moving through biomes and getting to the tops of hills to better see buildings and even whole city's. Moving from biome to biome changes the weather. But I still have problems finding traders sometimes.

I have found clones of other traders like Bob and Jimmy in RG. Which is kind of weird but it makes since. Area being so big and all.

Just wish that it was easier to find them.

By the way. I love your forum avatar.

You hosting a co-op game? Every time I host a co-op game and the game has been running for a number of hours, I get the perma-fog bug where I will have severe fog on my system but my husband has no fog on his system even when his character is standing right beside mine. They only way to get rid of the fog is to shutdown the host client and reload.

Maybe one day, tfp... maybe one day. =)

(thanks for the link, Dust)
Mind blowing! If you have an ounce of art appreciation in you, you'll enjoy this video, just uploaded today. When I was taking Maya classes in college, this is the kind of fidelity I imagined was possible. And apparently this is just one artist, not a whole studio. I do have to imagine scaling this up to a whole game world, without being repetitive, would take an insane amount of texture space. I wonder how many unique leaves the scene contains.

Yep, same here...do u know if its a bug they atleast acknowledge exists?

I hope finding traders gets harder. In fact there should only be one per x amount of region files, or just 1 per biome, not how many times that biome is generated overall on the map.

PS:

The blue bar moved today!
Agree they are in good amount, but their refill is low. Especially at later stage when you need load of bullets they only show 30-40 bullets. if they can fetch more resource or reshuffle better then I don't mind they get 10% less as of now ..

for the fog problem in the console commands

weather fog 0

if that doesnt work then do

weather clouds 0

not sure why, but clouds is the one that turns off the one that lasts for days

there is no mystery if it will get up. there is animation for being stunned. and vanilla zombies are easy to remember how many bullets/arrows. problem is when...modder adds broken zombies with health of 100 and no headshot hitbox*cough*ravenharst*couch* and that healthbar will help ALOT. also it will be possible to disable it. if not officialy in settings you will still probadly be able to edit one file or get a mod without it
