The word "Jeep" pertaining to a vehicle was coined by American solders in WW2 for the "GP" vehicle. American soldiers liked coining words from letters (FUBAR, SNAFU).

So it wasn't originally a name brand.

It has been a name brand since Willys applied for it in 1943. The circular headlights and vertical seven slot grille have been trademarked to Jeep since AMC owned the brand in the '70s. Even the military wasn't allowed to use the likeness after 1946, which is why we see the M151 after the production contract ended in the late '50s. Even if they change the name the design is still close enough to cause trouble, which is why I'm worried.

You might be right! Better change the vehicle name to: Aldrive! "When you need all the driving you can get from your 4WD, get an Aldrive!"

I hereby give TFP all rights to the first 4 letters of my name. I will henceforth be called... a Non. As in, Non are better! I like my new name! :)

I like the idea of the pause feature for mp when solo. I usually play single player as I don't really got anyone I can get to play this with me. But if I can pause in MP when playing solo, I can just start a MP map instead, just incase a friend wants to come on it with me. I played with a friend once and he got bored pretty quickly and lost interest. Said there just isint anything to do thats intersting once we got setup. He's kinda right too, once I get situated in a new game, I usually lose most interest in continuing, as there is nothing exciting to find or anything.

Weapon mod system in A17 will help with this though as I love my loot, it gives me something to aim for to find the perfect closest to 600 quality I can get mods for the types I want.

I agree that there is, sadly, nothing past getting set up.

I have a great idea I think: Once the first night horde arrives, the day turns to 100 and starts ticking DOWN! The place will be nuked because a new "Blood Moon Zone" has been detected by an automated global defense system!

Built years ago by the surviving governments, its location and current status are unknown.

You have 100 days to live and try to find the location of the control center or find a way to leave the area, past an unknown amount of radiated landscapes and hope to find a place free of the zombie menace! How do you know this? Have you done this before??

Different endgame scenarios depending on what sort of player you evolve, based on stats maybe. Both when you play alone and coop. PVP would be challenge. Very good ideas both of you.

TFP's can also use the "Most peculiar" player start and give it meaning. Something obviously happened to the player that caused amnesia.

-Attacked (betrayed?) by bandits (The Duke?) and because of who you were, left a minimum of items so if you died, they could say they didn't kill you.

-Does dropping the nukes cause a rift in space-time and start you at the moment the Blood Mood Zone (or is it a portal??) appears.

-Do you have a choice to restart time in hopes of saving humanity? What can you give yourself THIS TIME (only a small amount of items can be sent with you) that will trigger all your memories (and skills!) to return??

You can even explain dying multiple times!

The second before you died, the system you designed (your character has to be extremely intelligent to learn so quickly) reinserts you slightly ahead in time which causes you some damage to your health.

Or is it some "Edge of Tomorrow" kinda thing where you never forget what you learned as long as certain things keep happening.

 
And you get parts of what you`ve learned in the different sort of endgame scenarios. Which could happend in some sorf of less big random generated maps (to escape repetitive endgame). I like where this could go.

 
There's a podcast called "We're Alive" which I'm listening to which seems to use some of the same sounds for their zombies. Are the zombie sounds in 7DTD stock sounds bought as filler? Or are they the finished version?

Note: I'm not saying there's anything wrong with the sounds, I was just curious.

I had a really strange dream that when the world ended with multipul nukes going off. I designed a device which activates because of the massive ammount of energy released from the bombs. The device then turns back time for my home. Also charged a youth potion which you drink so that you never aged. After 4-5 round trips I work up thinking yeah... but I couldnt remember how I made it in the first place.

 
How about an explanation of the Environmental hazards we will be seeing around POI's? Weather and Temperature haven't been touched or discussed in several Alphas...What's the plan?

I liked the weird weather that Fallout 4 has that radiation storm cloud that comes over. I think the effects are brilliant, maybe we could have something like that. Hopfully dont last too long but makes more reason to find a hazmat suit sooner rather than later.

 
I am a firm believer in the premise of KISS(KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID), especially in a post apocalyptic world. So just name the "jeep"....

THIS. Or make an editable registration sign in the back of The Mole, so everyone can name it to its enemy. But The Mole is just awesome name.

Okay, so I just saw the video for the latest vehicles update. With the Jeep? Guys, I don't mean to rain on your parade, but you're scaring me with that one. That's an almost exact copy of a Jeep JK Wrangler Rubicon, and I don't know if you have the license. Fiat-Chrysler can be very protective of the Jeep name and brand. I'd suggest changing the rims to something different, flipping the slats on the grille sideways, and renaming the vehicle, because right now you're in lawsuit territory and I don't want you to get caught up in that.

I heard the sounds in. Batman cartoon, asked madmole, he said some b.s., so I'm not even sure they know they're using stock sounds.
