[/Quote] I feel I should say now that TFP is NOT announcing micro transactions.

THAT'S IT, I AM GOING TO MARRY THE STRIPPER!!! Micro tranactions out so I can splurge on my lovely dead lady of the future. My future ex-wife til death do us part...wait she is already dead... Life insurance policy being cashed in for 1,000,000 dukes. I am moving to Navezgane into a house with a pool. I will also some viscious (zombie) dogs watching my house for anyone who wants to break into my safe.

A17, 2018, A17, 2018.

Het buddy, how cool is flatout? Are you a nostalgic player of the original game?
I remember playing it when I was a kid, so much fun XD
Best game on the world :) I'm still playing it. Its unbelievable how finns are great at game industry. FlatOut UC seems best to me. All games after except Next Car Game are shame to this game.

The guy is truly a programming god! Amazing work and quickly done!
lol flattering faatal won't automatically mean the airship gets in the game. If it did the devs would get so much praise their heads would explode... :D

The facts on the airship:

--Will be part of A17

--Does not fly but floats

--Player cannot ride in or control

--Is actually a bloated enemy hp bar with wings

in all the hype nobody seems to have noticed MM say this " The new stuff is more in line with console" talking about the new menus....

And gyrocopter attacks. I'd love to take out a blimp from a gyrocopter. If the blimps are too resource heavy to make available to players it could still be cool to have one anchored at the Duke's casino with a quest to shoot it down...
Blimps?... ...yeah... no, thanks!

How's that gyrocopter going? We need some Faatal physics magic on it.

Here's a question: do we get parachutes at one point?

I mean, how do you escape the gyrocopter when bandits shoot it down? And base jumping of course! That alone is hours of fun in every game that supports it. (it could take a long time to pack up to balance the OP aspect of it)

Did you notice that the menus were flat out broken in many places before...?

You click on an option and registers a completely different line.

Buttons that included graphical text instead of text text so they couldn't be localised.

It was a hodgepodge of 2 different systems.

All kinds of hacky stuff.

If it's "more in line with console" then because it's also a clean solution instead of whatever accumulated over several years and 317 iterations.

You people are so scared of the "C" word that you're just making up stuff.

I hope the gyrocoptor comes soon, I've been wanting that feature the most ever since I first learned of the model in the game! Can't wait to fly around the map.

My main concern at this point is that instead of a fully developed quest system with a myriad of possible branches and choices my character is only going to be limited to four different responses... to bring it more in line with consoles.

1) Yes

2) No

3) Pardon?

4) Insult

My interactions in real life are a bit more complicated. Not much more, I'll grant you that, but even I need a few more options when talking to people.

Don't be this guy...

About the dialog conundrum (was that the "C" word?):

1) You have what Faction the NPC is in then -

2) What is your rep with that Faction

3) What is the world view of that NPC (minion, leader, boss, ect)

4) Then somewhat similar with game stage you can have a list of conversation threads you can be involved in.

Any improvements? I just thought it up.

It's not the complexity of the underlying system that worries me, it's the UI that goes along with it.

The Bethesda quest system for fallout 4 is damn near identical to the quest system for fallout 3. The reason fallout 4 has been lambasted by the community is for how the player interacts with that system. Limited options for quest dialogue forces a limited choice of responses.
