Well that's a bit lame.. I mean, it's as if instead of re-adjusting the rate at which food and water is expended, it's band-aided by just increasing the overall capacity instead :c
Well, as long as we only see the %'s still.. it'll look like nothing's actually changed until you see it in the character sheet.
But that's not true. Go look at your character sheet. You are not at 150 out of 150 (and btw 150 isn't even the cap, I'm sitting at 159 atm). You are 150 out of 100. If your max stam is 110 and your food is 150 you are 150 out of 110, not 150 out of 150.

negative effect starts when 75% or less. my max stam (food and water) is 120. i start lose stam gen speed when water is 90, that is exatly 75% of 120. my max food/water can be 170 (50 overeat)

I was at 20 for water and started to lose health... Wouldn't it make more sense to lose health at 0??

Well that's silly. So the food and water perks are actually half as effective as they're made out to be. :f

I'll see if I can reproduce it, but that scenario explains everything I know leading up to my chest and bedroll disappearing. I did not do a full wipe after b8 but did start a new map. Playing Navezgane, day 6. The chest had several items in it. I do have a tree farm accross the street from the building I've taken over. It has caused some FPS drop as well, but not sure if it would cause despawning issues. That is a bout all of the specifics I can think of.
I will attempt reproducing this possible bug myself then, If I can then I'll be making a bug report myself. This could be a major issue if replicable.

what you mean by half effective?

i do not have any points in slow metabolism perk, but it worked before so i believe, it works now as well.

Food and Water I think are related to Stamina and Health. New player start with 100 Food and Water, and 50% buff over it is allowed. i.e. you can go 150 at max. When you reach lower than 75% of max value which is 100 for now. You start to feel thirst or hunger as I observe.

But when you fortitude or add points to stamina, your max food/water go above with it. So if I have stamina of 120 my food is 120, and I guess with 50% buff allowed, I can each up to 180 (or 170 if it is fixed 50, not sure). so now if you go to 75% of 120 which is 80 you start to see hunger/thirsty. This is what I feel about it.

I took a decent shot of the blood moon over Houston a little while ago.

Building a better bridge tomorrow with today’s tools

Ever since I have gotten my bicycle, have been wanting to improve the bridge in the game. While it wasn’t a problem before mini-bikes and not really an issue even after that. The bridge is a real issue with the bicycle.

First of all, the gap of space can catch the tire, bringing it down so that it’s lower on the ramp before ascending. Then the ramp leading up at a 45% angle not also slows the bike but will put it at an odd angle. Plus crossing over this can sometimes damage it. This normally happens when you speed across it. But if you try to cross it at normal speed, you run the chance of getting stuck.

So I decided to build a new bridge that would be better for things like the bicycle. Getting next to the shore of a river, I placed wood frames so that they would be flush with the ground.

Leading off of that I used wood plates to help fill the gap between the blocks and the soil. Then to fill the rest of the gap, I used a hoe and used it to till the soil. This filled in the gap nicely.

The resulting bridge is much better on the bicycle and barely slows it down.

With some texture, it can look like a bridge.

To support the bridge I places flagstone supports every five blocks on either side.

Please see my screenshots below.

The first screenshot shows a standard bridge in the game. It also shows it next to mine.

This second shot shows the work I did,

This final screenshot shows the bridge with some texture to it to make it look more natural.

Please let me know what you think.

Well if they increase your Food / Water pools by 10,20,30,40,50 (from memory) but your penalties start at 50%, then that means that it's only half as effective. :c (5,10,15,20,25)

Has anyone had their chest and bedroll despawn on them? I have 4 chests down on top of a building. It appears while I was clearing out a POI not far away, my bedroll and the second to last chest I placed despawned (I placed a chest outside of the POI before clearing it). Is this a known issue or should I post a bug report?
I did have all but one wall of an underground base revert back to soil on me in a game a few experimental alphas ago. I lost almost everything, forges and storage boxes that had almost all of my stuff.

Yes, please! I think this every time I walk near a body bag. Also, I loot the shower curtains, and I keep expecting a sleeper in there. Maybe do that in third- or fourth-story shower, after the person has been lulled into a false sense of security.
I found a sleeper in a shower once, I could see it's head above the curtain because it considered the tub as a block.

Steam review has dropped to 48%, are you still pretending to be blind and keeps going the way apparently wrong?
What is the wrong way you refer to?

What would the right way be?

The wrong way would be towards worsening steam reviews, the right way would be towards improving steam reviews.

The real question is how you ensure you're heading in the right direction.

The right way: What the game used to be before A17, with major bugs (e.g. dup) fixed and decent optimisations. If players no longer fall into void, lose minibikes, get wrecked by dupers, and lose everything mysteriously on their belts, and if the game can consistently get 60 FPS with middle graphics on a 1050 Ti, it can be announce as a complete product, and the team can move on to the next game. Of course if there can be more later game content, such as bosses, legendary loot, it can make the game a great one, and even compete for the best survival game.

The wrong way: A17. It is now not a survival sandbox. It is a hybrid of FPS and MMORPG. But if it is a FPS, please give us free ammo, no FPS made us make ammo for hours and shoot out in minutes. If is a MMORPG, where are the boss and legendary loot that are challenging and attractive for repetitive play?
