Blegh. That will reduce the longevity, and hence replayability, of the game.
Back to your rocks. Back I say!

But seriously-ish, the games longevity will rise or fall on a logical and interesting quest system that can be somewhat interactive to what is currently happening in the map.

For example:

-Players power.

-Player reputation (good and bad) toward various factions.

-GS "Major event" triggers. Each should have a separate quest tree. (a high GS one would be: The "Duke" has an offer you can't refuse.)

That's right, not easy.

who idea was that to drain stamina in few seconds when aiming? its stupid. in real life you can aim for very long time without getting tired

I love your sense of optimism, but I shudder at your sense of realism.

True. Though I doubt such a faction system will/can be put into this game.

That'd be cool. But I feel like grass height is knee high, so that seems more like army crawl lvl, not crouch lvl. Personally.
I actually wish this game had prone. Be even more useful when we get bandits. I'd want some of them to possibly go prone as well. Maybe a few sniper bandits here and there laying prone on rooftops that you have to watch out for when you go into a town.

Faatal would it be possible to lower the Stealth camera height. Since I see first person, the lean doesnt come into view. But many times going into stealth the camera change is so subtle that unless im looking to the lower left, i dont even know. The squat height doesnt matter but if the view goes closer to grass level it actually feel like sneaking.
+1, it's silly half the time I can't tell if I'm sneaking or not.

How bout the old darker edged screen for crouch mode, much easier to spot than having to shift eyes to lower left. Then have it slightly lighter edged for nighttime crouch.

Are we supposed to be able to put on eye wear under armor helmets? Sometimes I start my game and the first try I can wear shades under my scrap helmet. Switch to nerd glasses and both shades and scrap helmet comes off. Then I won't be able to wear scrapH+shades again. Seems mining helmet is still the go to head wear esp with nvg not working yet.

Been like that for atleast the last couple alpha's i think. Havent seen it in a17 tho. Sometimes if you spam them on and off you can get them reequip (previous alphas)

I never wear armor now, it destroys stamina/speed unless I have the good mod for each piece that reduces the penalty. (seems to be alot more than 4-6% to me but idk) Then I still only wear a piece or two and light armor at that.

I justr put armor on when I go into a POI or enter combat.

Yeah had a bad rng map, searched 2 towns, numerous cars, 3 traders all no mining helmet. Day18 finally bought a helmet light mod stuck it on scrap helmet and then noticed this random eye wear thing.

Trying a tanky sledgehammer build this time, think I need more points into Heavy armor. 2 points in that, 3 points pain tolerance, 2 points health regen, not feeling big difference yet, still prefer to be faster no armor.

well sure, i dont use armor out of combat. But its vital for melee builds, Im doing the same in 221 run. Got my ass killed a couple of times haha. Definitely need to invest in more endurance, but those damn int points and farming perks I needed lol. Some in agility for stamina, some in perception for horde nights. Its coming out well, just not where I need it to be yet.

For "Dead is Dead" games, once I see my first ferial zombie, I wear the most damage resistant, heaviest armor I can find, buy or build. All the time.

I also push for the minibike as its all I need. Then I start hitting quest POI's.

For PVE im always playing "dead is dead", still cant stand the immobility of armor atm, I just dont let myself get hit more than once without healing. I dont like using vehicles in pve either, so I usually dont unless its to relocate far away.

Yeah I'm also dumping points into other attributes waiting to unlock more Strength and Fortitude. MM addressed this though so I'm looking forward to more specialized builds in future releases.

The immobility is putting me off atm, but I guess that's the risk of heavy armor. Maybe I just need more perks and find better tier mods to make it worthwhile. Atm no armor 100% mobility is getting the job done so I always feel meh when entering poi's and considering putting on armor.

Dead is dead is unparalleled in tension building, but what's funny is when I die it's usually to sth stupid like 1 limping zombie:

- miss the head with sledge ok maybe i missed with crosshair.

- switch to torso for the sure hit, missed, what?! I swung my sledge after he hit me so I know I'm close enough.

- ok really focusing on hitting his chest now...DUDE WHAT?!! Teleport/strafe dodged my swing....I'm dead...generating country roads

When I try to play Dead is Dead I end up saying.. 'Ah that death doesn't count, that was a glitch!', 'Ah dead = death only counts after day 7', etc.

I don't generally play dead-is-dead during experimental but I'm pretty damn strict when I do. Unless it was actually a bug I really can't continue with the same character, it seems hollow, like they're already dead inside.

Wow, okay... that may have came across as a little darker than I intended.

Here's a cute picture of a hamster if you need to calm down.

I agree, the system did not reflect the freedom to create your favorite character class very well and I didn't like the lack of early game specialization. That said we've already changed it and are testing it for a release. Now to balance this attribute points scale in cost, something like 1,1,1,2,2,3,3,4,5,6. Don't quote me there, but you can max out one attribute roughly in your mid 30's but at the expense of having zero perks.
Here are is my portion of the release notes on it:

Changed: Attributes are no longer gated by your level. You can specialize very early game now but attributes cost more for the higher ranks. The goal is to allow players to specialize into classes early game, and be awesome at a few things and ok or poor at other things. Or you can be a jack of all trades, the choice is yours. With the costs of the higher attributes being steeper, players will probably want to specialize in one or two attributes and get the best perks in those attributes and late game there will be less god tier characters who have every perk unlocked. We are looking for feedback such as are there any exploits or severe imbalances with this new system.
Awesome! I just inputted feedback exactly on this issue along with a bug report.

TRADERS:

Q - is there a way to control Trader items, QTY, and prices?

reason: some MP servers thrive on player based economy and now that vending machines and traders sell more stuff that hurts the little guy. MAGA! :)
