From what I understood is being able to crawl through a 1x1 hole was taken out because if zombies can't do it we shouldn't be able to do it either. From what I have read from time to time now is that zombies will be able to do it but we won't. If so, I don't understand why.
Zombies do not go through 1x1 openings. The pathing grid is a shared resource and is designed for 2m tall paths.

I miss the days of the 1x1 entrance where no zombie could get inside.

Also the mining helmet light was much cooler then as well.

Hi guys. Really busy day today so I’ve had to serve myself up some ketchup.
A17 is going to be amazing. Some of the polishing up and refining of some of the features that just happened this week are complete game changers. The game may feel dead to a lot of people but we should codename this release as The Phoenix because once people watch the streamers and then get their hands on it and word gets out I have no doubt 7 Days will rise again higher than ever before. I just hope all of you who are naysaying and preaching doom will be glad to be wrong.

I’ll try switching to copying stuff over instead of moving. I just figured it was the once-a-weekers that were the ones complaining. If you are reading daily there should be zero difference. Everything up until 3 days ago is still in this thread. That quote from Madmole on the photos is from his twitter so the arrows don’t match up with anything. Sorry.

There are no official release dates. I tell the streamers it won’t be the next couple of weeks so they can plan for other content in case they’re not currently doing 7 Days to Die (you know, with it being dead and all). If they choose to “leak” that out then that creates unofficial reports of when it won’t be coming which is fine. I fine telling you it won’t be today nor next weekend either.

TFP does have an internal release date they are aiming for but I ain’t saying when that is. You could send me a million dollars and I would tell you in a second. But other than that know that it is for sure coming and it will be worth it and to survive you will have to rethink, restrategize, and adapt from what you previously knew. Soon you will be back at a fresh Day 1 and it’s going to be fantastic.

well since it's been over a year since A16's release, I hope it is. most of us have been waiting patently but I really hope some of the on going bugs that plagued A16 have been fixed with this new release. if not please please please just delay it longer and fix them.. I rather wait a month or two longer then having to wait another year before they might be fixed.. :)

How many things do you want me to list that you got wrong in your post? I'll just name a couple.
NO, A16.4b8 is NOT complete. There are all kinds of things still missing that are planned for the game and there are several bugs present that it was decided would be better dealt with later.

NO, the game has not been at the same alpha for over a year. They don't release every alpha build to the public. A dev posted somewhere how many builds they have gone through but I don't feel like hunting the post down. You can if it is important to you.
A17 is on b137 now.

That is why I normally only play till a certain number of days...then wait till the next alpha...

It has gotten longer each one , since I started in Alpha 7 , played till like day 24 or so...then A16 I played till day 60 something...

This game is not done yet and I do not want to burn myself out on an incomplete and unfinished game before it even officially releases!

There have been times this last year where I WANT to go back and play it...but thankfully with work , family , my own Unity project and

now the Halloween season keeping me busy...I can wait ;)

But hopefully it is sometime soon!

But then we would deny it and they would have to send me a million, then the rest deny it and so on until we all got a million and by then it would be released, so waste of money. But they can try. ;)

so you're saying that the primary building of A17 is done and all we are waiting for is the bugs to be ironed out
No.

A17 is not a year's worth of bug fixes. Note the sarcasm in my previous post.

Do modifiers apply to vehicles too?
For instance; electric shocking on vehicles
This reminds me if is there any plans to make us be able to shoot while driving from any sort of vehicles. Might be sloppy done for fun, but a fun while drivin 4x4 for example.

I remember the early minibike days when Madmole said you could melee while driving, just like jousting. I so wish this was a thing.

I think Alpha 12, when Madmole was testing it out before the experimental release. We never got to see it but at the time (when he used to talk to us frequently) he said it was possible. Probably an early concept bug, but would've been awesome.

I can’t guarantee that all A16 bugs have been solved. A16 is old code and they are no longer working on anything that is based on A16. Some bugs slip through and some come back. During experimental it would be extremely helpful to test specifically for those bugs that you know and hate from A16 and report them in a calm manner. Hated, Wretched, Twigg, Unholy Joe and the rest of the Smurfs will be reading and trying to reproduce what you report so they can make a ticket and it can get fixed. The less frustration and emotion attached to your post the better. Answering their questions if they ask for clarification is important. Attaching screenshots or better yet linking to videos showing the bug are priceless and you’ll see action taken on those kinds of reports. Saying things like “These lazy devs took over a year and THIS is still an issue!?!!?” in the official bug thread is likely to get you banned and your post moved to off-topic and no action taken on your concern.

Once thousands of people are playing there WILL be issues that emerge. It doesn’t matter if it took a year or 10 years. Stuff will happen so it’s best to get the whole “It’s been a year and a half” vibe out of your system before reporting and giving feedback. It doesn’t matter how long it took.

I’m not just talking to you Necro. We have tons of new people who weren’t around during the last experimental and the bug report thread is very strict. Any offtopic posts earn an infraction and complaints and rants result in bans until experimental is over and we go stable. You can rant in general discussions or the regular A17 thread as long as you don’t get insulting but the experimental bug reporting thread is ONLY for legit reports following the guidelines that will be posted in that thread. That thread’s only purpose is to be helpful in getting A17e to A17.0 stable and unhelpful trash will be taken out.

Look at us, talking about the experimental bug report thread. It’s getting real...
