In regards to zombies in city/Town streets.

Hell yes that needs a come back. Just like everyone else who agrees has said. Zombie swarming city Streets is hiw it is in the movies. It adds atmosphere and difficulty.

And in A16 sleepers are VERY easy to dispatch of from stealth mode, A16 was a huge decrease in challenge because of this.
you know, in movies / shows... when they die, they dont respawn! also, i dont remember a movie/show that had a blood moon.

sorry, dont mean to come off as an ass, but pretty sure its been said that TFP arent following any specific zombie "canon."

I actually prefer the sleepers over swarming zombies. those are easier than sleepers to get rid of and pose no challenge (unless you're playing on always run and you're level 1)

And as for the bigger bags, it can def. be a annoying at times, but i dont care too much... maybe a mod that increases bag size but slows you down. but for any sort of realism, i'd actually like to see that bigger objects take up more room. ive made many a joke that an arrow, a single arrow, takes the same amount of space in my magic weightless backpack than a car engine. (ive only ever coded a random number generator so i have no clue if its too hard)

That all might change in A17, I got a pm from "someone" indicating that the changes made in A17 are MUCH bigger than most people know.

Using item weight is also something I thought about, but 1. a motor might be as heavy as a concrete block, so it might be too tedious to craft serious amounts of blocks and 2. I know that system from Fallout and inventory management there is hell, because you need to check the value and weight of every single piece to decide, which items to keep.
I have Sphereii's encumbrance mod installed, and although I haven't played with it yet, when I do I'll get back to you on how "fun" it is. =)

Agreed. I prefer it as it is ATM.
ATM must mean something different where you're from. ;-)

Wasn’t rummaging in containers supposed to make noise and attract zombies? That would be the counter balance to take/deposit all. Of course, being able to push one button to empty a container quickly before the zombie hits you is kind of a cheat...

 
Are real tests out there about the CPU power needs of 7DTD?Last time i played fps dropped hard while having 30 or 50 Zombies raging outside the base.

By dropping hard i mean like 3fps so playing horde night like a slideshow wasn't that much fun.

After playing around with the Settings (no solution) we built a new base which did not have Spikes outside the walls and the fps were fine.

So we guess there is massive bottleneck when calculating the damage or movement of 30-50 Zombies attacking / walking on Spikes.
Performance issues like that will hopefully get better as we zero in on how features will work and then optimize. I would not be happy if the game dropped to <10 FPS during play.

mine drops below that when using 4 dart traps and 4 of the 1x5 pressure plates during horde night

 
lol, for guppy's american it is automated teller machine and he wants cash
yeah, but the context. dont think "Agreed. I prefer it as it is automated teller machine". although, that sentence is pretty awesome

Also, i cant remember the last time i even used cash. if my card doesnt work, ive got my phone, if both dont work, i save money!

 
Well, I really hope they bring back zombies in the streets and the scary city atmosphere in A17. Not sure why we can't have both wandering zeds and sleepers. It's good to see people agree with me, because right now if you find a city... You win.

Do you're advocating smaller stack sizes but more slots. Hm, that could be interesting.
Right now I always bring 1000 each of stones, wood, and plant fibers with me everywhere I go because they only take up three inventory spaces.

 
Yup. Works well as a large city is a pretty big endeavor for one player and you need a small base to keep things safe. You can scrap most clothes as the sell value isn't worth any effort.
Damn son, your missing out! Duster and suit jacket are practically gold to a trader, especially repaired. They pull in 500 to 800 per jacket. Business zombies can provide serious coin between suits and cash loot. I used to think looting schematics (after you read them all) was a cash cow till I realized how much clothes brought in.

Yeah, that needs to stop and I think it has in A17. Now, I dont know just how many POI's are little more than death traps and if they "modified" the large loot factories in the big cities. But anyone want to bet they are now "Black Flag Roach Motels" for players?

I can hear the screams already, the salty tear covered keyboards... But "The Aldranon, Hero of all heroes" will triumph! :)

"...scrap most clothes..." easy to miss as I was typing softly then. :)

 
So are the Zombies based on real people?

Just wondering what the backstory for some of these Zs. I personally heard that Roland's Family album was used but in full support of Roland I don't believe it unless someone else can confirm it!

It was originally..but it made the game too difficult so they went in a different direction.

 
Is the optimisation going to be worked on in A17? Because let's be honest, the optimisation for this game is atrocious, it's the main complaint.
