PC Desert Quests

Wouldn’t it be advantageous to start in the desert near a trader?

I am thinking digging for supplies in the sand would be tons faster.

Didn’t that make sense?

You could rapidly knock out

Multiple find the treasure quests quickly rapidly increasing the quest level and rewards.

A good idea, but only if the majority of the treasure quests are in a desert. With the randomness of the quest location it could easily send you to wasteland biome.

OK...now I understand :) (sorry)....Aye, makes sense but as Atomic said, you'd need a really large desert.

yes but no :p after you level out of the protection you'd constantly have the stat debuff from being hot/swelting. It'd be a little faster but half the time for those quests is travel time.

I wouldn't really like that at all. Yes the digging is faster, but in the early game clay from the forest is far more useful to me than sand. I'm multi-tasking my time by getting lots of clay while I'm digging.

Another idea : when you find a treasure map, you read it and then the safe appears just in front of you ? It would be cool. And in the safe, there would be money, weapons, mods and a new treasure map ? :onthego:

I have spawned in a large desert with a trader nearby, and those were my exact thoughts, How wrong was I. Every buried treasure was in woodland biome, some were even only few blocks away from desert sand. Not one was in desert
