XBOX Delayed Infection and Drone Inventory Reset

Version
v2.2 b3
Platform
XBOX
Hello,

I was playing v2.2 B3 on Saturday 9/6/2025-Sunday 9/7/2025 on Xbox with my three friends (One hosting), when some bugs occurred.

My friend spawned into the in-progress character that he has in the game, and all of a sudden he was infected without fighting an enemy. It had been a while since he has played, so it was unknown if he had contracted infection before logging off the last time that he played, but the notification of infection was delayed nonetheless. Later, I was fighting various enemies, and, after I had defeated the enemies in several instance, a message would pop-up saying that I was infected, but the value would vary from 2.2% infected to 10.3% infected. I am used to becoming infected during combat, but these notifications occurred with a significant delay in contractions of the infections. It is like we got infected and the game did not bother to tell us until we were infected for a little while.

Also, I had my drone filled with loot from a POI, then I emptied the loot into appropriate containers in our base before I loaded the drone with items that we wanted to sell to Trader Rekt. When I went to retrieve the items from the drone to sell to Trader Rekt, I was surprised to find that the inventory of the drone contained the items that I had previously put into storage containers. While it is nice to have duplicated items (I checked and confirmed that I had put them away and I was not crazy), we lost a significant amount of Dukes that we would have earned by selling things to Trader Rekt. My friend looked on Reddit, and apparently this issue has not been uncommon, but I have not experienced it before v2.2 B3. Also, the drone does not seem to sit still when I want to interact with it like it used to.

I do not have screenshots or videos, so I linked a related YouTube video, and I do not know how to get Logs on Xbox Series, so I linked another YouTube video.

Reproduction Steps
Get infected and see how long before the game tells you that it has occurred.
Place items in the drone inventory and see if it resets.

I can't say for certain, but what you're describing sounds like a lag problem related to using P2P (this could happen with a server as well). Even if your pings are good, you can still run into problems with lag as the lag may be network related or lag on the host system itself. If anyone, especially the host, is using WiFi, stop using it and use a wired connection as that can be the biggest contributor.

Thank you, Riamus. I had not considered that, and I have not seen these issues in single player. I do know that the host system is hardwired, but it could be the internet connection in general.
