PC Death in the Apocalypse

I'm not sure if I've missed a post talking about this (because I'm new to this forum) or if no one really thinks/talks about it, but why is it that the game only allows one backpack spawn at a time? Is this a design choice or would it take up too much memory or something else? Tonight I died, went to get the loot did something stupid and died again. I had a fair amount of loot in my first backpack but lost it all. I like the idea of respawns on a world you like but I find it less fun if I lose a bunch of stuff that I grinded for and it kinda makes me rage quit that world and start a new one (I really only play solo on single player). In games that let you respawn I like to take advantage of that but with losing your stuff like that when you die multiple times makes me tend to play "perma-death". Does anyone else think this is an issue with maybe a possible toggle for backpack counts or am I just being too salty that the game is "beating" me and I need to just suck it up?

There is only one marker on the map for your most recent pack but your previous pack still exists. If you are worried about dying on the way back to your pack make a new marker for it so that if you do die and the marker shifts to your new pack you still have a marker to the older one

Thank you for the replies! I died in a poi so I'm not worried about where I lost it I just thought there was only the 1 because of only 1 marker. Thank you!

Yes, a lot of us learned early and the hard way to put a marker on our backpacks as soon as we respawned. We tend to get killed before we would get to our first backpack :D
